I got back to the church. Luke was sitting in the sheetless bed in my room.
"Hello, Katie."
He said. I ignored him and placed my bags at the end of the bed.
"Alright.. Uh. So. Would you like to meet the rest of the people that you'd have to meet anyway because tomorrow's breakfast?.."
He asked.
"Oh. There's more hunters that just you and Donnovan?"
"Yeah."
He laughed.
"Come on. You can meet everyone."
He took my hand and we walked out the door. He stopped walking and looked puzzled for a moment. Then he turned down the stairs and went into the library. Donnovan was no where to be seen. Luke pressed a red button on the librarians desk. An alarm like sound went off and the library began to fill with people.
"Who's that, Luke? Another one of your hoes from those stupid grade school dances for humans?"
Asked one of the guys in the room.
"Uh. Excuse me. First of all. I'm not in grade school. And I'm also not a hoe.."
I said and stared at the floor.
Well. I guess people REALLY like me here...
I thought.
"She's actually a new member. So, I'd bite your tongue."
Said Luke.
"O-Oh!! I'm.. I'm Alex. I apologize about the way I spoke to you.."
Alex said. Looking quite embarrassed.
I turned my head and didn't respond. Apology not accepted. I said in my head and frowned. He was freaking adorable. But he was rude. So it was out of the question.
