My eyes immediately begin to tear up. I quickly grab the photo from the ground and examine it. It's hard to see through my tears and I hug the photo. I start screaming,
"MOM!!!!! MOM!!!! WHERE ARE YOU??!!!! MOM!!!!!!"
I try to get up from my knees but I fall back down to the ground. I get back up and run into my room to call her cell phone. It rings but no one answers. I can hear it vibrating in the kitchen. So I run to see if I can find her with her cell phone. There's nothing there but her phone. Sitting on the kitchen table. I hadn't noticed it before. I keep heavily sobbing and call Simon. He answers quickly. As he always does.
"Hello?"
"S-Simon......."
"WOAH, KATIE! WHATS WRONG?!"
He says panicked.
"My mom..... I can't.. I can't find her..."
"Call the police. I'll be over in 5."
He says.
"O-okay..."
I hang up the phone, and call the police. After that. I sat in my kitchen, clutching the chair leg, and cry. The doorbell rings 8 minutes later. I get up, not caring to fix myself, and answer it. It's Simon. He hugs me and pats my head.
"T-thank you.. Simon.."
I say and cry harder.
