I walked into the next room. It was a weapons closet.
"Fuck."
I said and frowned. Hunter looked at me and laughed from the corner of the room. She was throwing a knife in the air and catching it, repeatedly.
"Hi, Kate."
Chimed Hunter.
"Hello, Hunter.."
I said.
"What's with the lack of excitement?"
She asked sarcastically and laughed.
"Pardon me for my lack of excitement but I'm not entirely thrilled."
I said.
"I understand. I was the same way. Anyway! We have to get a move on. So! That dagger you have! It's a light weight, steel dagger. It shouldn't be too hard to use. Take it out."
I took out the dagger and strapped the case to the belt Luke gave me.
"Alright, so, when do you start unexpectedly stabbing me?"
I asked.
"Haha. I won't do that. Don't worry."
Hunter replied. I smiled awkwardly and let her continue.
"So. Now that your 'equipped'. Maintain your stance that you learned from Alex, and slice the air."
I did as she said.
"Good. Now, do it more than once."
I did it 4 times in a row. Slicing the air didn't really teach me much..
Suddenly, Hunter ran at me and cut my cheek.
"Goddamn it! I knew you were gonna do that!"
I yelled and frowned.
"It's okay. Fight back. It's just a little slice on the cheek.. And I promise I can take anything you can throw at me. So go all out."
I charged at her and gripped the dagger. I pinned her to the wall and firmly held the dagger to her throat.
"Good. You can now move on, Katie."
I slipped the dagger back into its case. Hunter tossed me an Blacktail.
"What the hell am I supposed to do with this?? I can't use this here! I'm not shooting anyone."
"No. I know. I'm not going to make you use it. It's for those times when you make salt capsules or something. You'll know what I'm talking about when you talk to Deiken and Mason."
