Chapter Fourteen: The Broken Seal

I stared outside the dome, wide eyed, and shaking.

"Sakura!!!" I screamed. Naruto groaned, and started moving.

"Sakura...she's in trouble.." He started sitting up. "I'll bust us out of here..I'll fake him out." He stood all the way. He concentrated his chakra, and then started running. When the boy caught up to him, Naruto turned around, running the other way.

"Naruto, behind you!" Naruto turned a little, and got hit with senbon, making him hit the ground.

"Your chance of escaping my house of mirrors..is zero. That is absolute." I walked over to Naruto, bending down towards him, and shaking him a tiny bit.

"Naruto, are you able to get up? Try not to use anymore chakra. That's only going to help him, now."

"I know, Tessa, I know.." He said, and then passed out on the ground. I gently pressed my palm against his forehead, and then stood up, looking at Haku.

"My eyes have adjusted to his movements.." Sasuke said.

"Took you long enough." I teased.

"Looking for a counterattack? I'll save you the trouble." Haku threw a senbon at Sasuke again, but Sasuke immediately caught it, and defended himself from the senbon, knocking them all to the ground. "What?!" Haku asked, shocked. Sasuke kneeled to the ground, and looked at Naruto, as I grabbed a senbon.

"Get up, loser! We've got to team up!" Naruto groaned, and rolled over, sitting up.

"I know what we have to do. Believe it, Sasuke." Hundreds of needles started coming at us, but Sasuke and I deflected the ones at us, and both of us deflected ones going at Naruto. Sasuke shoved him over, as a bunch hit where he was just standing. I stood over Naruto, and watched everywhere carefully.

"He disappeared! Where'd he go? How could he just vanish?! Naruto, you better not pass out again! Come on, let's go, Tessa and I can't keep protecting you like this!"

"Well then, don't! I never asked for your help!" Then there was a thud. I turned and looked at him.

"Naruto, no.." I looked over at Sasuke. "I'll protect him. You deal with this loser." I motioned my head up at Haku. He just chuckled. Sasuke threw up his senbon at one mirror.

"You have excellent moves...your attacks are very skillful." He threw a group of senbon at Sasuke. "But you've reached your limits as well. Motor functions. Reflexes. Judgement. Your abilities are weakening slowly but surely. Now, you're finished!" He said as he appeared in different mirrors. He got ready to throw, still appearing everywhere, as Sasuke concentrated. Haku threw the senbon, but Sasuke immediately shoved me to the ground, and grabbed Naruto, moving. I gasped, and looked where we were, and needles were there. I looked over at Sasuke, who dropped Naruto to the ground, and panted a little.

"Sasuke...thanks.." I said. He smirked a little and looked over at me.

"Don't get all soft on me now. You're still a freak." I rolled my eyes and smirked back a tiny bit. His eyes were blood red. He had the Sharingan.

"And you're still a cocky bastard. Kick his ass." Haku then came out and headed straight for Naruto. My eyes widened, and I ran as fast as I could.

"No!!!" I yelled. I slid in front of him, hugging Naruto close to make me a shield, but I didn't feel any needles hit me. I heard Naruto groan, and didn't realize it, but his face was in my chest. I looked down, and he was blushing red.

"T-Tessa?" I turned red as well, and let go, turning around. I just gasped loudly. Sasuke stood in front of me, covered in needles.

"Y-You always..get in the way..N-Naruto..I-It never fails.." Naruto smiled.

"You beat him, Sasuke!" Then his smile fell, and he looked carefully. "Huh?" Sasuke turned his head and looked at us, blood dripping from his mouth.

"You should see the look on your faces.." He groaned. "You...you both look like total losers.." I felt myself shake more, and reach out a little.

"W-Why did you...why did you guys save me..? Why did you do it?"

"I don't know why...I just did." Sasuke looked ahead. I bit the inside of my lip, and reached for his hand.

"S-Sasuke..?" His head dropped, and he looked up a little again.

"You...I hated you, Naruto.."

"Then..why? It doesn't make any sense! Why did you protect me?!" He growled. "I didn't ask for this! I didn't ask for you to save me!!"

"I dunno...my body just moved...no time to think.."  He then fell back. I gasped and moved behind him, catching him, and resting his head on my legs.

"S-Sasuke, i-its okay, its gonna be okay.."

"Sasuke!!" Naruto came over.

"H-He..He's still out there..My brother...I promised myself..I'd..stay alive..until..I killed him.." He raised his hand a little, and I took it. "Naruto, don't let..your dream die..Tessa... become a great kunochi..." He said, and his hand dropped. I froze, as his eyes closed, and I felt tears come to my eyes. I don't cry a whole lot. It has to take quite a bit to make me cry, honestly. Sasuke and I may have had our differences, but he was still a teammate. A friend.

"No..no, no, no! Sasuke, wake up! Please!!" I screamed, shaking him. "Please, wake up!! You have to wake up!!!" I cried. I felt Naruto's hand clamp down on my shoulder. I barely looked up at him. His eyes had sadness, anger, and comfort.

"Is this the first time you have seen a friend die in battle? This is a part of what it means to be a ninja." Haku said, disappearing back into a mirror.

"Shut up." Naruto said to Haku angry. "I..I hated you too, Sasuke..and yet.." I felt my tears thin out a little, and air seemed to move in a circle around us. It then turned into steam. "You'll pay for this." Then, out of nowhere, the steam disappeared, and red chakra flowed around us. I looked at Naruto. It was his demon. He looked up a little at Haku.

"I'm gonna kill you!" He said, his voice deeper, and with a slight echo. I saw the chakra above us, and there was a red fox in it. I also noticed, Naruto's eyes were blood red, and his nails turned to claws. The chakra rose up a little, and started to thin out. Naruto growled, and his teeth then grew fangs. He knelt down on all fours, and started running fast, like a fox. And I have only felt fear like this once. But I shook a little worse. Naruto was scaring me. That wasn't Naruto.
