After sometime.....
Kashi and Vishwanath had lunch together in his office, sent by Shalini with Vishwanath slipping in a few light-hearted teases, especially about her sweet kiss from earlier. Kashi was a blushing mess, her cheeks burning. She was shy, yes, but an unusual kind of happiness bloomed within her, soft and fluttering, like petals opening to a morning sun.
Afterward, Vishwanath gave Kashi a short tour of his office floor, pointing out different things and telling her about the work culture and people. She listened with wide eyes, curiosity lighting her features.
Once the tour was over, they both left the office together heading home for a small celebration that Kashi had no idea about. Vishwanath had planned it as a surprise to acknowledge her efforts. Her magnificent designs had helped them close a crucial deal and to him, this moment marked her very first step towards her dreams. He had texted Rudra, asking him to bring a cake. Meanwhile Rajendra and Raghvendra had already left for Singhania Mansion ahead of them.
In his heart, Vishwanath had made a silent vow, that he would celebrate every little milestone of hers. And soon, this world too would know, how truly talented his queen is.
-
The late afternoon sun cast a warm golden hue across the windshield as the royal convoy glided smoothly through the city streets. A black SUV led the way, and another followed closely behind guarding the most precious car in between. In the center, the royal vehicle cruised with quiet authority, it was sleek, tinted and regal carrying the King and Queen of Bundelkhand. The gentle hum of the engine blended seamlessly with the soft music playing in the background, wrapping the space in a cocoon of calm.
Inside, Kashi sat on the passenger seat beside Vishwanath as today, he had chosen to drive himself. They were chatting casually when suddenly
"STOP!"
"Stop, Veer ji!" Kashi shrieked, pointing excitedly at something outside.
The car jerked to a halt as Vishwanath slammed the brake, his arm instinctively flying out across her to protect her. The security cars ahead and behind braked abruptly, instantly alert.
Vishwanath turned to her, eyes wide and voice serious. "Kashi, what happened? Are you hurt? Is something wrong?"
Kashi, completely oblivious to his panic, was already half-turned towards the window, her eyes glittering with joy. "There! Look Veer ji! It is a pani puri stall!" she said with a giant grin, practically bouncing in her seat.
Vishwanath blinked in confusion and disbelief. "What? That's why you screamed?"
"Yes!" she beamed, already reaching for the door handle. "Come on, let's go!"
He quickly composed himself and gently caught her wrist. "Kashi....No. This place isn't hygienic. We can go to a proper restaurant. They serve pani puri in clean and sanitary conditions."
She pouted instantly. "But it's not the same, Veer ji! You don't get the real taste in restaurants. The real fun is in eating from street vendors. I used to have these all the time in Jhansi and I never got sick. The charm is in the experience, eating from roadside stalls, standing with your palm full of puris, getting extra masala water, asking for just one more at the end. It's not just about food, Veer ji. It's a memory." Kashi said as her voice softened, laced with nostalgia.
