The lights in the room were dim, a soft golden glow cast by the lamp beside the bed. Kashi was about to move from Vishwanath's side when her eyes landed on a file he had been reading earlier. Something about it caught her attention. She gently leaned towards it and took it in her hands. Curiosity piqued, she opened it and sat with it in her lap.

Inside were various prints and sketches of fashion designs, some elaborate, some half-done. But what drew her in were the red and blue markings scribbled beside each sketch corrections, notes, and observations. Vishwanath had been critically evaluating the designs. Some he marked as too Indian, some as completely Western, and some incomplete or lacking soul. His comments were sharp, detailed, and clear.

Kashi, with her deep-rooted passion for fashion, could understand each note effortlessly. It wasn't just a file of sketches, it was a professional design evaluation, and it instantly told her something was missing from these designs. The theme, as she understood, was Indo-Western fusion, but the designer hadn't quite grasped the delicate balance. They were leaning too far either way, failing to strike the intended balance.

As the observations soaked in, a few quiet ideas began to take shape in Kashi's mind. A flicker of determination lit up her eyes.

She remembered how she had always loved fashion, how even without any formal education or training, she could effortlessly draw sketches and stitch garments that rivaled professional work. It was a gift. A divine kind of intuition she was born with.

Back when she worked at the textile factory, she would often bring home leftover fabric scraps, pieces that were considered useless by the factory but treasure in Kashi's eyes. At home, she would experiment using her mother's old, slightly broken sewing machine to create designs. She stitched tablecloths, quilt covers, bedsheets with delicate embroidery, even simple yet elegant suits for herself and her mother.

Her phone couldn't even display pictures, being a basic button model. So she would often borrow Riya's smartphone, searching for embroidery styles and fashion trends, saving every bit of inspiration she could find. Her small world was her runway, and her imagination, the designer's board.

It was this very talent that had helped her clear all three admission stages-written, skill test, and interview at the prestigious Singhania Academy of Fashion and Design, earning a full scholarship. But fate had other plans. Her mother's sudden health deterioration, coupled with her father's abandonment, forced her to give up the opportunity. Back then, she had no idea that the man she would end up marrying was not only the owner of that very academy but also the tycoon behind some of the world's biggest fashion houses.

Now, sitting in his room, flipping through a file he had personally marked, she felt that spark again.

She quickly picked up her phone from the nightstand and searched for Indian embroidery and vintage gown designs. Her eyes lit up as she browsed through the collections, her mind weaving threads of Indian embroidery into flowing dresses with modern Western cuts. An idea was taking shape, a unique blend of heritage and innovation.
