          "I want a dog." I turned and looked at Dae. "No." He continued brushing Jaquan's hair. "What?" My heart dropped. I can't believe he just told me no, he ain't never told me no since I met him. I grabbed my phone and got off the couch. "I'm not bout to be beefing with you at seven in the morning." He sighed. I ignored him and went in the kitchen, checking on the grits. I added more pepper and cheese then turned the pot off.

         I pulled out some paper plates and started fixing everybody a plate. I made fried chicken, grits, eggs, and toast. But I made my chicken smothered, I don't know why but I woke up craving something smothered. "Y'all come eat." I shouted. I sat all the plates on the kitchen table and waited for them to come down. I pulled out the orange juice and some cups as they started making their way in the kitchen. "Thank you Kyah." Mason said as he sat at a plate. "No problem baby." I sat the cups of juice next to their plates.

           One by one they all made their way to the table. We said our grace and started eating. "After I come back from dropping the boys off we gone head to the doctor appointment so make sure you ready." Dae looked up at me. "Okay." I nodded. We sat and conversed until we were done eating. "Ight y'all come on." Dae started making his way to the front door. "Can I come?" I started walking to him.

          "Ion really want you riding with me no more." "Why?" I mugged him. "I been keeping something from you." He sighed. My heart dropped to my feet. "What?" A lump started forming in my throat, I felt my heart about to run out the front door. "It been some beef in the city, niggas talking bout tryna harm me. God forbid something happen, ion want you nowhere near me. If something happen to you and my babies imma lose my fucking mind." He spoke seriously.

          "Just the other day a nigga tried to shoot at my car, ion need a repeat of that with you in the car with me." I opened my mouth to speak but I couldn't. "I ain't tell you because I ain't want you worrying about me." "But I'm always worried about you." "I'm straight I promise, just don't ride with me." "That don't make no sense." I huffed. "We supposed to be going to the doctor's appointment." "We'll take yo car or sum. Don't worry we gone figure something out."

          "Okay." I nodded. "Well please take my car to drop the boys off to school. Matter fact, I'll take them." I picked up my car keys. "Nah it's okay, Twon coming through with his truck, should be here any second now. He gone take me to my other house and get one of my black cars." "Okay." I started nodding, eyes darting around everywhere. "Can y'all please be careful? Like this is cra-." My voice cracked, the lump in my throat getting tighter.

          "See I knew I should've never told you." He shook his head. "Don't do that!" I sniffled angrily. "I'm sorry." He hugged me. "Imma be straight, just be ready to go to the doctor when I get back." He bent down and gave me a kiss on the forehead as two honks came from outside. All the boys hugged me and told me they love me then followed him out the door. I stood there for a second, getting myself together before I made my way upstairs to shower.

         After my quick shower I threw on a black bra and panty set then put on a white tank top dress, jean jacket, I slipped my feet into my white Dolce & Gabbana Bianca Interlock slide sandals, and grabbed the first purse I seen. I sprayed some perfume and made my way downstairs. I admired my growing bump in the living room mirror before going in the kitchen to grab some snacks.

"Hi babies, I'm y'all mommy." I cooed at my stomach as I plopped on the couch. "I don't know if y'all can hear me yet but I love y'all so much already and mommy can't wait to meet y'all. Daddy think both of y'all are boys." I rolled my eyes playfully. "I hope y'all are a boy and a girl. But if not, it's okay." I sat scrolling on social media and talking to my stomach until I heard the front door open. "What you in here doing?" Dae walked in.
