AN: Hey people! It's me! Aardvark! Yep! I know you all missed me...

Anyway erm... Here's the update but guys I have some IMPORTANT INFO!!!!
Basically... You know how Asha supposedly read all of Harry Potter...
Yeah well that kinda didn't work because she didn't know what a load of stuff was, so we edited the chapters so she only read up to Hagrid knocking on the door.
I hope this makes sense and please comment if you don't understand..
Now go read!

CHAPTER 11
ASHA'S P.O.V
I watched Albus laughing with Felix, slightly down the table. They looked as though they both loved life. So did everyone else here. Could it be possible that I never found anything interesting in the Muggle world because I didn't belong there? For although I'd only been here for a few hours, I felt as though I belonged.
As these deep wonderings passed through my mind, I causally looked over to the sorting, having relaxed a great deal.
The girl called 'Maria Spencer' who was obviously a strict Christian( the one who'd been talking to Lena and I earlier) went to Ravenclaw as did 'Odette Studio'.
There were so many people in Hogwarts, far more than one would've thought at first sight. Almost a thousand people were sitting in the hall not including about 30 teachers. I was wondering how they fit, it seemed absurd, but then I reminded myself that in a world of magic, almost everything would be absurd!
The hat had now placed a bubbly looking girl, with dark skin and black hair in long braids, into Hufflepuff. The yellow house applauded wildly.
Next, I realised, was one of dear Gertrude's cronies.
"Weasley, Bebe!" Cried professor Flitwick.
I gasped. I was sure that Rose's surname was Weasley. How could she be related to her? Because, after all, Weasley wasn't exactly a 'common' name, was it?! At least not in the Muggle world. Maybe it is in the Wizarding world. But I could tell that it wasn't, as rapid whispers snaked through the hall. Everyone, I saw, was thinking along my lines. I glanced at Gertrude to see her looking thoroughly shocked and slightly disgusted. I felt slight satisfaction at that though!
Bebe proceed to the stool, looking very embarrassed. It was now that I was watching her walk that I realised how fragile she looked. Almost as though someone could reach out and snap her in half! Almost coincidently, I noticed a bandage on her finger. Oh, well. My satisfactory vanished when I realised that is she ever got in an argument with Gertrude she wouldn't be able to punch her for me! I bit my lip and grinned slightly. What would my darling parents say if they heard me voice that thought?!

She sat down on the stool. People were now craning their necks to get a look at the girl, who I now realised, would've related to one of the 'Golden Trio', she'd be a relative of Ron I think! The whispering stopped- it seemed that most people had just been wondering about whose child she was, since most people probably knew the Weasley's...
I mean they should!
The hat sat on her head for quite some time; admittedly longer than everyone else.
"You reckon she's gonna be a hatstall?" Felix whispered, to which no one replied.
"Err, what's a hatstall?" I also tried to keep my voice quiet. But before anyone could answer, the hat screamed:
"SLYTHERIN!"
The reaction was quite unlike all the previous ones. Three quarters of the school looked completely shocked, and slightly disgusted. The other quarter had a mixed reaction- some people just stared in shock, but others applauded loud enough to make up for the missing. They were probably just glad about her fame though. From the little time I'd spent in Hogwarts, I could tell that Slytherins would go a long way to befriend the famous. I mean it all comes down to power, right?
I looked over at the wild greens. Gertrude was sitting with her arms folded resolutely staring ahead of her. Bebe was trying to sit next to her and had a pleading look on her face. I glanced at Victoria who sat next to Gertrude, and I suddenly burst out laughing. She was trying (and failing!) to copy Gertrude's expression and posture! The result was purely hilarious! She looked like a mole was trying to burrow into her backside!
I suddenly thought what Lena would say to this when I remembered the Sorting. I looked up just in time to see Rose walk up to the stool, her face matching her hair. If I had thought that the whispers for Bebe were loud, then I don't even know about Rose. I guess that even if Bebe hadn't been in Slytherin, Rose still would've had a lot of attention, cause everyone knows who she is. Well, apart from Muggle-Born first years who haven't been educated on the Golden Trio.
Like you that annoying voice in the back of my head commented.
It was annoying but I suppose it was right. I did still bother me, how much I didn't know about the Wizarding World. I mean I did start the Harry Potter books but I only reached the bit where they reached the Hogwarts doors! After that, I kinda got wrapped up in my party and then stuff got too busy. I admit, I regret not finishing it, but I mean I can catch up now, right?!?
I was suddenly pulled out my thoughts and jerked my head up, to see the Hat shouting:
"GRYFFINDOR!"
I clapped louder than I had for the others, as Rose ran unnaturally fast down from the stool, and collapsed panting next to me.
"Umm... are you okay?" Was the first thing I could think of to say.
"Yeah, sorry, I hate being in the spot light and it didn't help that everyone was staring even more because my 'somehow' relative just went to Slytherin! I knew it would be bad enough with my mum and dad being who they are, but then that idiot had to go and get Slytherin... eurgh, of all the houses..." She panted heavily after saying all of that at once!
Rose took a deep breath and looked around her.
"Oh hey Dominique!" She suddenly exclaimed seeing the prefect.
"Oh, yeah... that's nice..." Dominique muttered rather dejectedly staring at the Slytherin table and not bothering to turn around.
"Um,...Dominique...hello...it's Rose... Rose your cousin?" Rose said waving her hand in front of Dominique's face.
"Oh sorry!" She said suddenly blinked and looked round. "I was just thinking about our dear new cousin..." She explained rather sinisterly. I gulped, remembering what she'd said earlier about Veela being able to turn into clawed animals and stuff. I knew she wasn't full Veela so she couldn't do that, but still...why take the risk...?
"Um...do you know something...about...about Bebe...?" Rose asked in the way where you try to act causal but your heart beats double time cause your about to find out some big information. "Cause- cause, I didn't know she existed before now!" She gave a careless laugh- a bit too careless, I felt. But then again, I have absolutely no subtlety whatsoever, so who am I to talk?!
Dominique paused. You know how you ask an older person a question and they look at you for a moment thinking...
'How can I answer this without giving away anything that could damage their pretty little minds?'
Well it was that kind of pause.
"Yeah...yeah I know some stuff alright." She began cautiously, "....let's just say her family aren't exactly what you usually define as 'Weasleys'..." She emphasised the surname, "-Anyway! No need to worry your little first year heads about that...look the Sorting's nearly done, then you guys will get your first taste of Gryffindor life! Oh and congrats on getting into Gryffindor! You're gonna love it trust me!" She smiled (falsely) at both of us and then turned to talk to some 5th years. Rose looked at me with her eyebrows raised. I understood, something was definitely going on and we weren't being told.
