"Asha?" Rose asked, pleasantly surprised. I could feel my cheeks go red as they turned to stare at me in surprise, and maybe wonder that I'd spoken....

Yeah I was kinda wondering that myself now...

"Yes! Go on Asha, come on! ...of course... we don't need the idea... just... it'd be... err... nice to know other people's views and see if we can change our... err... plan, or tweak it slightly!" Felix muttered, carefully amending his enthusiasm to make it seem like he had a plan.

Which he didn't.

Ugh...stupid conscience...

"Sure you don't need it." I found myself muttering under my breath (ignoring the stupid voice in my head) and Lena chuckled and high fived me.

"But honestly..." I suddenly felt a wave of nausea wash over me.
Good idea? Blindingly obvious?
Who was I kidding?!

Still, I guess it can't hurt... the worst they'll do is laugh at me, right? ... or record me and broadcast it to the whole school or stop being my friends or... but I do have blackmail on them, technically with the prank... but whatever, they won't do that! Right?

"Anyway..." I continued speaking out loud this time, to avoid any other conversation with the stupid voice in my head. "It's not that good a plan. It's kinda similar to what Felix was saying- you know, about asking for extra homework..."

"Asha, we are not asking for extra Astronomy homework!" Rose interrupted hotly, causing Albus to gasp in horror.

"Rose doesn't want homework?! Shock horror!" He exclaimed, feigning shock, but smirking slightly.

"Shut up Albus! But we don't particularly need it and I don't enjoy doing extra homework, whatever you might think!"

Ignoring the muttered sarcastic agreements from Albus, I carried on.

"No Rose, I don't mean that. I just mean... err... you know... we go and ask Professor Scroggins something... I dunno, maybe about what we'll be studying or something... or we could tell Professor Scroggins there's something wrong, a disturbance somewhere... and then while that's happening, Albus and Felix sneak in... I mean, it's not good and it's certainly what you might've thought of, but..."

"Wait. Hold it. Asha Karthi, you are a genius!" Felix suddenly jumped up, wincing as he hit his head on the top of the cupboard, but still launching himself at me. I stumbled back in shock, managing to steady myself on a nearby broom. Felix muttered apologies but didn't wipe the winning smile off his face.

"Disturbance. Oh my Merlin, why did I not think of it before?! Fred told me that his dad- you know, your Uncle George-" He gestured at Albus and Rose, "could sometimes persuade Peeves to do something! Would he have the same respect for us?! Who am I kidding?! He HAS to have the same respect for us...we're amazing! Asha Karthi you're a genius!"

"But... I didn't do anything..." I mumbled, not realising that they would've jumped onto my idea so quickly.

"But Felix, I thought you already had an idea?" Lena cut in, smirking.

"Well... we did, of course we did, don't be absurd..." Felix muttered glancing slightly at Albus who simply shrugged," but of course we can abandon this plan cause this one's better!" Then he added on, "Not much better obviously... but a decent plan for someone who isn't me!"
