"Oops, sorry!""No, it's fine..." Rose blushed, as she bent down to pick up the her stuff that had fallen out of her hands as she crashed into the Ravenclaw girl. "My fault."
Rose had been acting particularly tense since we had woken up. She had been fine at dinner and after, but at about 10, Rose, Cosette and me had decided we'd have a two hour nap before Astronomy (Lena had promised to wake us up, she said she wasn't tired and I think she stayed up with Alyssa, Electra and Destiny playing God knows what...)
I guess Rose was just thinking about the prank and how she'd get into trouble if she was caught
Well nah, captain obvious...?!
Shut up...
"I'm Heather- you must be Rose, right?" The girl smiled, bending down to help Rose. As Rose nodded jerkily, she turned to us. "Hey."
"I'm Asha." I said.
Wow I'm getting good at this introducing stuff...
"And I'm Lena..."
Cue awkward silence.
"...so what do you think of Hogwarts?" She asked, obviously trying to break the tension. Heather rolled her eyes.
"Is that actually a question? It's amazing! I kinda miss the stuff from home, but Hogwarts definitely..." she trailed off.
"What do you miss from the Muggle world?" I asked, thinking about how Alyssa had been talking about how her brother gets to watch Mock the Week, and I think Lena was talking about her Miserables thing too...
"It's not so much the books, like I managed to bring them with me! Just oh my gosh, I almost cried when I found out I couldn't bring the Maze Runner film, and such... obviously, I have all the books with me, but I can't watch The Maze Runner, or The Scorch Trials, or The Death Cure... or illegal productions of stuff on Youtube..." Her voice rose with enthusiasm, but I had one thought in my head.
Help.
Another fangirl.
I think I'm surrounded.
But she seems nice, and the ones I've met all seem nice, so they can't be bad? Right?
"I know!" Lena had eagerly started a conversation with Heather. "I have them with me too- and yes Asha, you will read them- but I bet you by the time we next go home for the holidays, loads of illegal productions of Wicked and Les Mis and whatnot will have been uploaded and taken down-"
"Oh my gosh, you like Wicked and Les Mis too?"
Help me.
"Yes! You know, one of my friends- she's in my dorm- she's called Cosette!"
"Is she a soprano?" Then to my surprise, Heather started singing some song... I couldn't get most of it (you know how it is when people start opera singing!) but it involved the words 'love' and 'heart'...
Lena started laughing, before noticing Albus and Felix pushing their way through the crowd with the rest of the Gryffindor boys. Albus looked at us and smirked, nodding- confirming in a look that our plan had worked. At least we'd get an earlier night than we would... it's still totally unfair that we have a lesson at Midnight til like 1 in the morning, and we don't get a later morning...
I'm talking about Astronomy, in case you didn't understand that cryptic message...
Heather had stopped singing and started laughing.
God?! How is she so happy...?
"Do you like The Hunger Games?" She asked, to which Lena grinned.
