AN: Err... hey guys. Read pleaseeeeeee :D And Happy 36th Birthday Hermione!!!
"Uh oh..." Rose muttered under her breath. Gertrude- or rather Close- hadn't noticed our presence yet. I mean we were quite far away so it wasn't like she was blind or something. Although I'm surprised she isn't visually impaired yet from the way she's staring at her reflection in the glass of the greenhouse. Well either that or she's examining the massive crack that appeared when it caught sight of her... I smirked slightly at the thought, but stopped before anyone noticed and thought I was smiling because she was there.
"Err...why are we 'oh no -ing'??" Alyssa asked sounding really confused, and pulling me from my thoughts. She has obviously not met the terror yet.
The terror of Christmas Past, Present and Future, as an irritated Lena said this morning.
At least, before Rose started arguing with her saying she was more of a Scrooge.
I settled the argument eventually by saying she was worse than both put together.
If this were a TV episode or something, it would be called 'return of the Scroogey Ghost' or something.
Wow I really hate this girl.
Well no shit Sherlock.
Have a mentioned how much I hate that voice...?
"Err...Gertrude is very...erm... let's say... very stereotypically Slytherin..." Rose muttered saying the last word as though it was something disgusting in her mouth, breaking me again out of my thoughts.
"Oh dear indeed then..." Electra decided.
As we approached the Greenhouses, I saw that the greenhouses each with a different number on the top. Checking my timetable which I collected this morning at breakfast, I saw we were in Greenhouse 1.
Well I s'pose that figures...
People were already filing in so we joined the end of the queue, Rose and I carefully steering Lena far, far away from the dreaded Slytherin who was already standing in the middle area, just in case she suddenly launched an attack.
You never know with this girl...
Upon entering we found Professor Longbottom.
Or that's what it said on the timetable. I remember Rose mentioning she knew him but she never got round to telling me...
He looked nice anyway, amiably greeting Rose and telling us to stand around the middle where the rest of the class had already gathered.
The bell rang, signalling the start of the lesson, when the door flung wide open, revealing Albus, Felix and the other boys I remember as Ali and Jay (the ones who'd gone to find a Professor Steedy in the morning). They were all panting heavily.
"We're s-so sorry-" Albus managed to get out. "W-we got lost-"
Professor Longbottom gave them a slightly analysing glance and then, as though satisfied, gestured for them to join the rest of us, with a short "No matter, we're just starting!"
They filed on the end, next to one of the Slytherin guys. I watched as a Slytherin boy leaned over and whispered something in Ali's ear. Ali suddenly clenched his fists and turned to glare at the boy in question. Felix, who had just been smirking as though oddly satisfied by something, suddenly turned to glare at the boy as well and muttered something back. The boy immediately reddened in the face and clenched his fists so tight, I swear his veins were going to pop out. The other Gryffindor boys were all smirking contently; I even saw Ali high-five Felix under the table...
