The months went by quickly as the Karabey's prepared to welcome Firat's and Gül's baby girl. The pregnancy had been hard on Firat. Gül's mood swings were even worse than Dilan's. In terms of cravings, Ms. Kader and her side of her family had her covered. The day they found out the gender, they came back to the mansion, and Firat's face was hidden behind a mountain of presents he had bought. Gül said they went from the doctor's appointment straight to the toy store. The man was in love with Dilay and always manifested his wish to have a girl who would look just like his wife. His wish was granted, and Dilan could not be happier for him. Yes, Firat had made mistakes in the past, but he had worked hard to amend his wrongdoings by turning his life around. Now, more than a cousin, Firat was another brother to Baran and Cihan. They were at the clinic, in the waiting room, ready to receive good news. Dilan smiled, remembering... "What is my wife thinking about?" Baran, who had his arm around Dilan's waist, pulled her, and she was startled. "What?" He grabbed her chin tenderly. "This smile... I want to know the reason." Dilan took a look at her surroundings and how everybody was restless. "Just remembering what happened one hour ago." Gül was upstairs and alone when her water broke. She screamed for help. Dilan and Baran were the first to arrive. "What is it, Gül?" Baran asked, but Dilan knew as soon as she saw her. "I think my water broke." Gül's face was covered with fear. "And Firat has not arrived yet." Baran, without hesitating, lifted Gül in his arms. "Dilan will call him on our way to the clinic, Gül. Don't worry." She followed close behind as they went down the stairs. Firat's phone was ringing, but he was not picking up. When they reached the stairs, the mansion's door opened. "Firat!" Gül said, relieved. "What is going on?" He asked, scared for his wife. "Her water broke, Firat. We need to get her to her doctor." Firat took Gül from Baran. "My car is just outside. You drive, cousin." Baran nodded, and they set out.
As they drove, Firat kept holding his wife's hand and trying to help her breathe whenever a contraction hit. But Gül was not receiving the help well. "Can't you stop saying that? I know I have to breathe. But do you think it is easy under the circumstances?" Firat looked confused. "You need to keep track of the timing of her contractions," Baran said. "I'm doing that. They are about six minutes apart." That was close. "How long?" Gül asked mid-contraction. "About five minutes out, Gül," Dilan inquired. "Firat, have you called her doctor?" Dilan was trying to help the man. "I have, but she is not answering." Gül's eyes opened wide. "What? Then who is going to deliver the baby?" That backfired. Her friend was now more stressed. "Gül, don't worry. It will work out. We still have time, and we are almost there. In the meantime, Dilan called Yusuf." She understood immediately what Baran wanted. She called at once. "Yusuf, I need you to bring Ms. Kader to the clinic. Gül is about to deliver her baby. Also, make sure to bring her bag. Ms. Kader would know where it is. We didn't have time to take it." On the back, Gül screamed. "I can't believe we forgot the bag. This is such a mess." Firat kept robbing Gül's hand. "It will be fine, my beautiful. See, Yusuf will bring it." That statement did nothing to appease the very pregnant and in labor Gül. Baran parked right in front of the clinic's doors. Dilan got out and asked for assistance. "She is about to give birth," She informed the nurse who came out with a wheelchair. "Let's get her in here. Who is her doctor?" Firat exited the car to help. "I've been calling, but she has not answered." The nurse spoke in a calm tone. "Don't worry, we will get her doctor here. For now, let's get her inside." The doctor on duty took charge while Gül's attending doctor arrived. Later, when the door to the room Gül was in opened, Dilan saw the relief on Firat's face upon seeing her doctor. Since then, she had been taken to the delivery room, and all that was left was baby Bahar to arrive.
Baran had just returned from buying something to drink for everyone there when Firat came out. "She is so beautiful!" Tears flooded his eyes. "You need to see her. She looks just like her mother." All gathered around him, taking turns to hug him and express their congratulations. "How is Gül?" Ms. Kader was concerned for her daughter. "She was so brave, Ms. Kader. She is with our daughter. Soon they will take her to her room." The woman looked relieved and excited. "Thank you, god." She said while crying with happiness. Dilan rushed to her side and hugged her. "She and the baby are fine. You are a grandmother, Ms. Kader." All the Karabys were so happy and eager to meet the new member. When they finally laid eyes on the little Bahar, she stole their hearts immediately. So tiny and beautiful, Baran was reminded of his princess. He recalled the moment he held her in his arms, and he knew she would have him wrapped around her little finger for life. Looking at Firat, he was proud. His cousin had come a long way, and despite their past grievances, the man in front of him was deserving of happiness. Baran was glad he could be a witness to it. "I promise you, Bahar. I promise you that you will only receive love from me. I will always be there to support you and encourage you in every step of your life. I won't be like Hassan. You will be a happy child and will grow up with your cousins, loving and protecting each other. I promise you, my angel." Baran put his hand on Firat's shoulder. "You are nothing like him, cousin. You are nothing like that man. You realize your mistakes and make up for them. You will be an exemplary dad, just like you have been an amazing uncle to my children." Gül added. "Baran is right. You are better than your parents. Despite your upbringing, you chose love over hate. You will be a wonderful father to our daughter. I have no doubts about that. And she will love you unconditionally. She will proudly call you Dad."
