Chapter 97

(To Silas)

"You ever been in love? Love? Hello, you two?" Silas asks looking over at two people as he was sitting at a bus station with a patch over his neck.

"Yeah, we're together. In love." The woman answers.

"Aw, that's so adorable. I love love, I do. Yeah... I got a Soul Mate too. Y'know. That love-at-first-sight, wanna live forever... Love is eternal kind of love. Amara. That's her name." Silas informs causing the couple to turn to him. 

"See, when I first met Amara, I was with another woman... So I kind of cheated on her. Which to be honest with you... It really wouldn't have been that big of a deal... Except it turned out that the other woman was a raging lunatic. So when she found out I cheated on her... She freaked out and turned Amara into stone. Like, literally, Medusa-style." Silas explains making the couple look at each other and then back to Silas. 

"Dude, are you, like, okay?" The man questions making Silas look over at him. 

"What do you mean? You think I'm crazy?  Why? Why do you think I'm crazy? All I've wanted for the last 2000 years... Is to be reunited with the love of my life. How is that crazy?" Silas asks, knitting his brows.

"Maybe the "Turned her to stone" part." The woman answers.

"Or the 2000 years part." The man adds.

"No, guys. We were both Immortal and now we're not. Hello?" Silas insists as the guy pushes his bag under the bench and they begin scooting away.

"Anyways, the point is, I finally had the chance... To hold Amara in my arms again, and what does she do? She jams a chunk of glass into my Carotid Artery. Look." Silas asserts as he went to take the bandage off. 

"No, thanks. No." The man rejects as he turns away. 

"Listen, you two, here's my advice. Live it up. You know, enjoy this love while it lasts. Because let me tell you something, a couple days ago...  I was psychic, I was Immortal, I was in love.  Now my neck hurts, my Soul is crushed... I'm sitting at a bus stop in fricking Delaware." Silas explains as the girl looks back over at him.

"You're in Philly." The girl addresses causing Silas to turn to her. 

"I'm in Philly?" Silas questions with a groan as he looks away.

"God, that's even worse." sighs, but then the man sounds out in pain clenching his side. 

"What's going on, babe?" The woman asks worriedly. 

"I don't know." He manages to say through the pain, but then pukes out blood.

"Oh, my God. What's happening?!" The woman exclaims as the man doubles over off the bench, still puking. 

"What are you doing to him?!" The woman exclaims once more turning to Silas.      

"I think I'm liquefying his internal organs. Did I fail to mention that I'm a Witch?" Silas questions as she bends down to the man. 

"Please stop!" She cries out. 

"No. I'm pissed off at the world... And I'm taking it out of your so-called Lover." Silas smiles.

"Please." She pleads. 

"I'm thinking you might be my next victim." Silas states as she glances over at Silas, but then hears the man puking more. 

"Oh, my God." She says as she then runs off, leaving the man throwing up in pain. 

"Look at that. Unbelievable. Love is so damn fickle." Silas remarks as he stands up.
