(Courtney POV)

Buying all of our drinks and finally happy that Athena hadn't pulled out that credit cards of her. She drove us to the local park, seeing not very many people out walking about. After we were done with our Starbucks, we decided to take a walk. I looked around, suddenly I heard the thrum of guitar strings. Realizing that it was my favorite song, House Party by Sam Hunt. I looked around and saw across the park, seeing a rather handsome guy with his guitar. He looked around our age, playing his guitar with skill. I start to walk over to him and listening to his warm voice.

'Cause I'll be at your door in ten minutes

Whatever you got on, girl, stay in it

You ain't gotta leave the house to have a good time

I'mma bring the good time home to you

We'll have a house party, we don't need nobody

Turn your TV off, break that boom-box out

We'll wake up all the neighbours 'til the whole block hates us

And the cops will show up and try to shut us down

If you're gonna be a homebody

We're gonna have a house part

If you wanna be a homebody

We're gonna have a house party

(House Party, by Sam Hunt)

I slow down behind the girls as they continued to talk to each other as I snuck off, sitting down next to him and he stopped playing. He smiled at me, "Hello." I smile, "You are a wonderful player. I also really loved that song." I confess to him, blushing a little.

"Well, thank you, sweetheart." He continued playing as I silently hum along with him. Until I saw the rest of my friends waving at me. I stand up and put a five dollar bill into his breast pocket, walking away. Reaching my friends where they stood as they stared at me. "I think Courtney found some man candy." Melody giggled.

"No, you must mean sexy, country singing candy." Jess continued on. I glare at them and already knowing my face was bright red. We all head back to Athena's car, but we don't put the top down, because we didn't want to ruin our look for the bonfire. "It's only around five, do you guys want to come over to my house?" Athena asked.

"Yeah, didn't you saw we could ride our horse over to Jess's country house." I said. Looking at all of us. We all wanted to do it so. Athena drove us to her house and parking next to her horse barn. "Do y'all want to ride bare or with saddles?" She asked as we got out of her car. Walking into barn and seeing Mason walking out. "Hey, y'all. You all look very pretty." He said, giving us a wink and tipping his cowboy hat.

"Mason, stop flirting with my friends and when is mom and dad leaving? Because we all decided to ride over there." Athena explained to him. "We are leaving in an hour. Mom is finishing up the s'more dessert thing that she is bringing." Mason finished, walking to the house. We all walked into the horse barn and getting the horses ready.
