Zara.

I stood in the middle of the warehouse and looked at all the bodies littered around me. I sighed before turning and leaving.

As I walked away the warehouse went up in flames behind me and I smirked. I put my guns back in place before taking a quick turn and disappearing into thin air before anyone would notice.

I got to the safe house and Hades was waiting at the entrance for me. "12 hours. You keep to time I see." He said and I just shrugged. I need to shower.
"Where's Romero? How's he doing?" I asked as we went down in the elevator to the ground level.

"He's doing fine. I think he'll be awake soon. Diana hasn't left his side since he got here." I sighed as the doors binged open and we walked into the room.
Romero was laid out on the bed connected to an IV drip and Diana sat unmoving beside him.

Yeah there's definitely no way I'm getting her to scoot over so I just stood close to the bed. "Is he still breathing?" I asked and Diana shot a sharp glare my way. I stared back unfazed. It's a credible question if you ask me.

"He's doing fine. All his vitals are stable. Man, that doctor degree came in handy afterall." Min said as she walked into the room. I don't know what pushed me to but I walked straight to her and wrapped her in an embrace. She stiffened for a second before relaxing into it with a slight laugh.

"Thank you Min Sung. I owe you a lot." I whispered and she squeezed me tighter before letting go. "Anytime Z. Always at your service." She smiled brightly. We both turned back to the rest to see they were staring in shock.

I rolled my eyes.

"Z! You've never hugged me like that before!" Diana yelled and I frowned at her. "Don't worry. When Romero wakes up, he'll shower you with all the hugs I'm never going to give you." I said then picked up my phone to see unread texts. Hades sighed before taking my hand and leading me out of the room.

I let him drag me as I observed him. His shoulders were slumped, his steps sluggish and his hair looked messy. Damn.

"Hades? When last did you sleep for eight hours straight?" I asked. "Four years ago." His answer was quick but I could understand. With our job description you can't exactly sleep without being disturbed in one way or the other.

"Where are we going?" I asked quietly as we entered one of the empty rooms in the house. "We need to talk Zara." I blinked because he just called me by my name. The audacity though.

I snatched my hand away and sat on the bed looking at him as he ran a hand through his already messy hair. He did it again. And again.

Annoyed, I stood quickly and grabbed his hand to stop him but the motion startled him causing him to grab my waist and pull me closer. I let out a breath at how close we were. One wrong move and our lips would hold a meet and greet.

I stared into his blue eyes as he stared into mine. "Zara..." My name came out quietly and desperately out of him. His hand moved slowly up my back and I just stayed still.

"Forgive me." I whispered before pulling away and smacking him across the face. The impact of my hit sent him stumbling a few feet backwards as he held his cheek in shock.

I winced. I didn't mean to hit him that hard. I swear.

"Fucking hell Z!"

Ah, there he is. Back to Normal.

I smiled and helped him up. "I'm so sorry. You were malfunctioning. I just had to reprogram." I said and he rolled his eyes.

He explained his theory about the ambush on Romero and I while I listened attentively. "I think Mason is trying to push your buttons. How and why did Romero suddenly show up at your location and then you're both blow up in a shop? It's a trap. And a rouse."

Mason. The bastard unfortunately did most of the training on me before I was moved to S.I and it's safe to say that his methods are the most brutal I've ever come across. I remember one time where I literally died for a second but this monster jolted me back to life. Sick motherfucker.

I was literally the mini female version of him. And worse.

"I think I've been quiet for too long. It's been months Hades. I'm tired of sitting and waiting. And Adrian? I hate playing hide and seek everytime I want to see his face." I said and his face fell at the mention of Adrian.

I had my suspicions about Hades' feeling for me. He can't possibly still be in love with me. He'll be stupid to be.

But yet, here I was staring at his face as he looked broken. "Hades." I called and his eyes met mine. He quickly masked the hurt on his face. "I also think it's time we do something as well. We've been the prey for long. It's time to be the predator." He said.

"Let's meet up with the rest and discuss a plan of action. And Romero stays. We can't let him leave and run his mouth off to Adrian yet. Did Diana do it?" I asked.

"You bet she did. She stripped him of every device that holds a tracker in it. Even down to his underwear. I bet it was a sight to see." Hades teased and I laughed glad that the tense air was cleared.

It's time to get my hands extra dirty.
