𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐕:
I quietly closed the front door so i would interrupt Billies zoom call, i slipped my headphones into my ears before pressing shuffle on my playlist. My music flooded my ears as the cars flew past me.

I walked up to the store before grabbing a cart and making my way inside, i strolled up and down the isles grabbing everything i needed throwing it into the cart. Snacks, things to make for dinner, things to meal prep and other stuff we didn't need but i knew we would eat.

I made my way over to the check out scanning everything before pressing my card to the machine. I grabbed the bags and once again pressed play on my music, bags in hand i walked out of the store luckily i only had two bags so it wasn't so heavy.

The walk wasn't long, around 20 minutes Billie should be finished her call when i get home we can make dinner together. I planned pasta tonight something we both enjoyed. I made my way over to the cross walk before pressing the button.

It light up soon later letting me know i was free to go, i stepped out i made it half way across the road before i stopped. I didn't stop out of choice i was made to stop, i stop walking but didn't stop moving.

Everything went so quickly, one second i was walking home to make dinner with my wife but now i was lead in the middle of the road after being thrown across it. I couldn't movie everything felt stiff, why couldn't i catch a fucking break.

I could still hear everything, the cars driving by like there wasn't a body in the road, the people walking by in their own worlds it was like no one cared. Well that was until i heard someone stop and slam the car door. I heard them run over panting.

"Madeline?" The person asked.

My vision was blurry but i knew that voice. Finneas.

"Fin?" I asked my voice trembling.

"Yeah it's me, stay still okay i'm gonna call for help." He said pulling his phone out.

He walked away a little bit to try and hear the people on the other line a little better. I'm guessing he was calling for an ambulance, he made his way back over asking if Billie knew where i was.

"No shes at home." I say weakly.

"I'll call her okay, just hold on for me." He says holding my hand.

I heard the phone ring before i heard a frantic Billie on the other line.

"Finneas, i'm worried sick about Mads she's not answering me she's been gone for over an hour." She says panic coating her voice.

"She's here with me." He says softly.

"Is she okay, why is she with you?" She asks.

"Billie she's been hit." He said.

"WHAT?" She exclaimed. "Where are you." She asked.

"24th street." He said bluntly.

"I'm coming stay there." She said before hanging up.

Time went to quick after that, Finneas stayed by my side the whole time telling me everything would be okay while holding my hand, Billie soon appeared then the ambulance. The two siblings never once leaving my side.

The ride was quick, Billie sitting next to me her hand in mine squeezing it 3 times telling me something without using words. I love you. My eyes felt heavy closing every few seconds, it wasn't long now till we got to the hospital i just needed to hold on.
