Chapter 11

Gabbie's POV:
I sat in my seat that was assigned to me a few moments earlier, I didn't even know what lesson it was, I was too busy trying not to think over the whole situation, that's probably the worst thing I could do, but something was bugging me about meeting Matt tonight. I mean obviously I was terrified of him and what he could do to me, but there was something else, like something really really bad gonna happen tonight.

I decided to text Josh about it.
Hey, Matt told me to meet him after school, what do I do?! X -G
Almost immediately he text back,
Don't worry about it, I'll be with you by then, I'm not coming into school today, I need to do son errands, where are you meeting him? X -J
At the bus stop, I have a feeling he's not gonna be alone though, something's off x -G
Yeah, something's always off with him, just try not to worry about him, he's not worth it. X -J

I put my head down on the table, not listening to a word the teacher said.

I wonder why Josh wasn't coming into school today. Hope it's not because of me, I've already put too many people into too many bad situations now, I'm not worth it really.

All through the day I wondered what the hell was going on in my mind, and worrying about tonight, and Josh.

The last period bell went and I dragged myself up, dreading what would happen next. I hurried out of the school gates, not wanting to be late in fear of what Matt would do to me.

I saw him wait there, for me at the bus stop. Where was Josh? He said he'd be here!

"Come on." He grabs me and pulls me onto the bus that just arrived and pulled me into a seat.

I started to panic. Josh? Where are you? I looked around desperately. Right at the back I saw Josh there, sat with his hood up, looking down so he's not seen.

The bus stopped, and on came some people who looked way too familiar, it was those year 11 kids. I felt my pulse rate quicken and my palms become hot as they sat opposite me, glancing at Matt deviously. Oh god, is this what was off? One of the boys looked a lot like Matt, almost like they were...

I need to get off this bus. I went to stand up but Matt held me back and pulled me back down onto the seat.

Another stop, some got off, but then I saw a couple holding hands pass me and sit the seat behind; Libby and Calum. Then Kennedy got on, and sat at the front of the bus.

It was Josh that was doing this, this was why he wasn't in school today.

A few stops later, I was dragged off the bus by Matt and his brothers, closely followed by Josh, Libby, Kennedy and Calum, they had a plan.

Josh's POV:
We followed Gabbie and the other group down to an alleyway, maybe the same alleyway as before..
I nodded to the others as I hid in a gap in the wall so they wouldn't see me. Kennedy and Libby were actually pretty strong, they could probably be able to knock me out, I knew they were the right people for the job.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" Kennedy shouted, from the other direction

I took the opportunity to run closer as Libby, Kennedy and Calum ram at them, a distraction so I could get Gabbie. You wouldn't believe how long it took us to think of this plan, we had to text each other the plan in the bus as the other plan wouldn't work, it's all down to them now.

I still think this sucks but oh well.
