" 'Cause all I really want is you."
I watched as both Ashlee and Michael came out of her bedroom, giggling and bumping about. I immediately frowned at his hand on her shoulder. Michael shouldn't be touching her like that, even if they're just 'friends' and he's 'gay'. Of course I didn't believe that pile of crap he agreed to. I still remember the time Michael told me that he wanted to do the deed with my sister.
They couldn't be just friends with him wanting that from her. I didn't feel she was safe around him, I felt like he'd just use her and leave once he's gotten what he wanted. I didn't realize but my fists were clenched shut, I lifted my hands up and rubbed my fingers - conscious of the sore bones. I wanted nothing more than to get my sister out of this apartment and away from all these boys.
I looked at the blonde boy in the kitchen, creating some sort of wraps. Luke seemed alright, I wasn't as worried about Ashlee staying with him anymore. He seemed like a decent guy after much talking to him during the sleepover and practices. He wasn't interested in getting into Ashlee's pants, that's for sure.
I just wanted the best for my sister, I loved my friends, I just wish Ashlee wasn't fond of them too. They could be a bit stupid at times and I didn't want her getting hurt, that's all. After Aaron I swore to never let a guy hurt her again, not if I could help it.
"Ash, do you want a chicken wrap?" Luke asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
I smiled down at Luke, those wraps did look good. "Sure, thank you." I replied swiftly. I took in Luke's private school uniform, it looked tidy and comfortable.
I wanted to go to a private school but mum didn't have the money. I tried saving up by working at KFC but I realized I wouldn't be able to save up enough for Ashlee to come too and no way was I leaving her alone at that school.
"I like your shirt," Luke pointed out the white t-shirt that I wore underneath the blue flannel.
I sent him a smile of appreciation, I had put my own handiness into this shirt, causing small holes and tears in it.
Ashlee walked past me with a smile, "yeah. Ash is going for that whole 'I got attacked by a bear' style."
If I could manage a cuss I would be sure to use it on her. Luke handed us each a wrap. I could hear Calum gushing to Michael about how amazing Luke was. Michael grunted in response and I tried not to let this piss me off.
Ashlee was bouncing up and down, I didn't get how someone could be so excited for school. Maybe she was starting to feel as cramped as I was inside this apartment.

Ashlee wouldn't stop bouncing about, even as we walked down the hallway of school she was still jumping about. I found this a little strange. I decided to ask Michael. "What's up with her this morning?"
Michael groaned again, he'd been doing that a lot today. "Luke said he's going to take her to see his little sister." Michael flicked his long brown fringe out of his eyes.
I just nodded, taking in the information. I gave him a small smile, I didn't know why he was upset about Ashlee spending time with Luke, I sure wasn't. But I could sense some sort of rivalry between Michael and Luke, they had a past. No two people could just hate each other without a reason.
As Ashlee bounced I saw something on the side of her neck, please just be makeup or something. "Ashlee?" She stopped bouncing at the sound of my voice.
She turned to face me in the hallway, her face whitening slightly. Oh god it is. To be sure I approached her with cautious steps. I pushed her pink hair away from her neck and over the back of her hoodie. The bruise was a deep purple with a tinge of yellow to the edges.
