"Had enough of what they say."

Michael began to stutter, "L-luke?"

The blonde haired boy pushed himself off the locker and approached the three of us standing with shocked faces in the hallway. Luke came closer, smoke was drifting out from the end of his lit cigarette.

What the heck happened to him? I couldn't stop wondering over that question. I grazed my eyes over his newly acquired lip ring. It suited him, but he looked so different. He didn't look like that preppy and bouncy boy anymore, he looked like a dark and brooding figure instead.

Girls giggled as they walked by, it allured minds like theirs. Not mine... well, only a little bit. It was that daym lip ring, I sorta had a thing for boys with piercings.

Michael's hand slipped into mine, gripping it tightly as Luke stood in front of us.

"Hey man," Ashton's voice was a little pitchy as he greeted Luke. I could tell Ash didn't trust him as much anymore, I certainly didn't.
"Why are you here?" Michael spoke through gritted teeth. I ran my free hand up his arm — hoping to calm him a little.

Luke pushed his hands into the pockets of his jeans. "To answer your question mikey I am sick of being perfect for my father." He began to mumble, "and my friend Dylan asked me out."

Michael scoffed, "and you complained about me running away."

"Shut up Clifford."

I stifled a laugh because of Luke's response at Michael's wittyness. Michael smiled a little at me but it dropped as soon as he looked at Luke. "I should be the one who's mad. Not you."

Luke took a step towards Michael, I was glad for the bell ringing for once. Ashton rushed off to give Calum the pancakes. I tugged on Michael's shirt, pulling him towards music class. Luke followed us, he probably had the same class as us. I could clearly see Michael wasn't happy at this. We walked a little quicker, moving a few meters away from Luke.

"He turns up here after yesterday? Ashlee he's up to something, I don't trust him." Michael mumbled in a hushed tone. I could see the clear worry set in his jade eyes.

I couldn't do anything to reassure him that it will all be alright, I didn't know if it would. Michael hesitated at the door to the music room, Luke flaunted into the room without any problem.

"I don't think I can go in there," I looked up to see Michael had glossy eyes — his eyes were set on the black piano in the corner. Mikey had it rough lately and all because of one boy. Luke.

"Mikey, we can't afford to skip any more classes for a while." I still hadn't let go of his hand, his skin was soft like a baby's and it was comfortable to hold.

"I know." He nodded sadly, "I know."

Sitting down at our lunch table Calum immediately flushed at the sight of Luke. "What happened to you?"

Luke raised an eyebrow but sat down all the same, sadly he sat next to me. I acted as a barrier between Michael and him as Michael was on my other side.

I could see Michael picking at his food — he was pushing his potato salad around with the tip of his plastic fork.

"My god." Calum shook his head still staring at the blonde haired boy that sat next to me.

Beth shoved some fries into the boy's gaping mouth. "You're drooling Cal." He gazed at her with wide eyes, as if he was shocked at her actions.

Ashton sat down on the other side of the table with Blay. Blay's grey eyes lit up when she saw Luke across from her. "New kid, hey! I'm Blay."
