Ch 92 Last case

(Jamison POV)

The thing about people, or should I say monsters, who think they can get away with the vicious stuff that they do is something that I can't ever fathom. The vermin who walk this planet, thinking that they are untouchable, that they can do whatever they want, without any fear of ever being dealt with, that they can get away with it. Things like this deeply bother me. What gives me nightmares are the ones who have got away with it, for years, never being caught or having justice served for the horrible crimes that they've committed. That is what keeps me up at night, that is what crawls in my mind when I lie in bed trying to rest, knowing that someone out there is going through such horrific events, worse than any cruel nightmare, and I am powerless when it comes to saving them, wherever they are. Not this time, not with these cases. No. I won't allow it; none of these people will gett away with this.

"Tell us everything about them, their names, how they look, how long they've been doing this. Every single detail about them that you know, tell us all of it. They won't get away with this. It's a promise." I said, meaning each word. If law enforcement lets them get away with this, I, for a fact, wouldn't, and I mean that.

The teenager in front of me looked at the floor. I could see the raw emotion on his face as he lowered his voice as if he was in the moment with his abusers. The feelings as he spoke were nothing but painful, as if the very moment of each word could break him.

"They would hurt me every single time they saw me, they hated me, and they were always cruel. This time, they went too far. They've always gone far but even this very moment I knew, that they were going to kill me. That there was no end to what they were doing." He said as he was trembling.

"I can't imagine the horrible things you've gone through, but we are going to help. So please, tell us everything and don't leave anything out. Please help us help you." I asked him again. The part that bothers me is that I am aware of some of the things he's gone through. There was proof of it in the autopsy. And that was an autopsy that would forever leave these feelings with me.

I knew that he was going through a rollercoaster of emotions, and I wanted him to know that we are serious, that we understand the feelings that he is feeling, but we want to get started on this immediately. That these people should not be able to get rid of any form of evidence, which I am sure that they've started with, and that he knows that the people who cause him such harm will be getting punished.

"Okay, it's not going to be easy hearing, but please. If there is any time during my story that you would like me to pause, just let me know, and I will stop. I don't want to leave anything out, and I'm not sure if you'll be able to find proof or evidence of everything, but everything I am about to tell you is what happened. And they took videos of some of the moments too." He said the last part in a low voice, almost a whisper. Yet we heard him, as if he didn't lower his voice at all, as if just the words he used held volume enough.

I could feel Rosemary staring; she was staring at me. I could tell by the look on her face that she was wondering if I would be able to handle the story he was about to say to us.

The truth is, I don't think I would be able to handle it, because just his mentioning that videos were taken of the things that happened to him had me angry, especially since I was aware of some of the things that had happened to him.

If they filmed the things I am aware of, from the autopsy. I was going to make sure that they never saw the light of day again.

Because people like that are monsters, not humans, and monsters should never be allowed to see the light of day. They should be taken down and removed from the people they may potentially harm.

He opened his mouth and told us everything. He didn't leave anything out, and I could feel my whole body start to shake.

I had passed the anger, I had passed the disgust, I had passed second-hand emotional trauma.

I turned to look at Rosemary, and my eyes widened. The look on her face was one I had never seen before.

It was a murderous look, it was a look that brought shivers through my whole body, and I wanted to reach out to her, to take her hand in hopes of wiping that look on her face away, but another part of me felt like I couldn't. Whatever she was feeling, whatever emotion she was feeling that had her expressing it on her face, was something that I wouldn't be able to stop her from feeling.

It was something that she needed to feel as well. This was something that we both needed to feel, and the way I would be handling these monsters would be less crucial than the way Rosemary would. I wouldn't go above and beyond to ensure they don't feel anything but pain, but Rosemary would do much more than I.

Rosemary torture ways would be worse than any hell experience, and I felt proud and intrigued about all of that. I wanted to see that side of Rosemary, even under the circumstances, something about her having this side makes me fall in love with her even more.

"We'll deal with everything, don't worry. I will also ensure that your family receives all the help they deserve. I know some lawyers, I know some lawyers, and I will be giving your case to them, and your family doesn't have to worry about anything. Everything will be paid for." Rosemary said, I stared at her with so much admiration.

My woman is fine as hell.

"There's this case I am going to wrap up, but we'll get started on yours today. Don't worry." Rosemary said.

The young man looked at us with hopeful eyes; the hope in his eyes was something that caused my heart to tug even more.

"In the meantime, you're not in the phase where you can cross over if you decide that you want to. I don't have time right now to tell you everything or show you everything, but there is someone who can." Rosemary said she said Mona's name, and Mona appeared out of nowhere.

It used to surprise me when Mona could be summoned this way by Rosemary so easily, but now I am so accustomed to it that I don't even blink an eye.

"Mona, can you please take him with you and help him, the same way you helped everyone else." Rosemary said to Mona, who smiled softly towards him.

"Of course, love." He said to Rosemary, turning to face the boy

"Hi, my name is Mona. What's your name?" Mona asked.

"Jethro." He said softly.

"Nice to meet you, Jethro. Take my hand." She said, and Jethro gently took her hand. As soon as he did, they both disappeared.

Rosemary turned to face me; she showed more emotions, as if she had been holding back before, and I pulled her into my arms.

"Are you ready for this?" She asked.

"Yes, let's do this," I said.

Jethro's story will be the first case in Book 2, which means his story and the other cases discussed during the autopsy in these few chapters will not be covered. This book (book 1) will conclude with the previous case Rosemary and Jamison received with the abused woman.

The next chapter will be posted soon. Give this chapter a VOTE & COMMENT if you want more.

If you want the updates to come faster, please reread and post tons of comments on each chapter, or vote on all chapters if you have not done that before.

See you all in the next chapter.
