The night air was crisp, carrying the faint smell of asphalt and stars. Jungkook stood by his motorbike, helmet in hand, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. The city lights flickered behind him, but he looked like he belonged to the night itself — restless, alive, untamed.

“You trust me, right?” he asked, holding out the spare helmet.

You hesitated, eyeing the bike with both excitement and a healthy dose of terror. “Define trust.”

He chuckled, dimples flashing as he gently set the helmet on your head, fastening the strap himself. His fingers brushed your jawline lightly, leaving warmth in their wake. “You’ll see,” he said.

The engine roared to life beneath you, the vibration rattling through your bones. You wrapped your arms tightly around his waist, heart hammering, and before you could second-guess the decision, Jungkook pulled onto the road.

The world blurred. Wind whipped against your skin, the night sky stretching endless above as the lights streaked by in flashes. You buried your face against his back at first, clinging to him, but slowly the fear melted into something else — exhilaration. Freedom.

Jungkook tilted the bike smoothly, taking curves like he’d been born for it. He laughed into the night air, the sound carried back to you, wild and unrestrained. You couldn’t help it — you laughed too, the sound spilling out of you, loud and pure, mixing with the rush of the wind.

When he finally slowed, pulling off onto a quiet overlook, you were breathless — not from fear anymore, but from the adrenaline still surging in your veins. You slid off the bike, pulling off the helmet, and turned to him with wide eyes.

“That was insane,” you said, half-scolding, half-awed.

Jungkook grinned, hair tousled, eyes sparkling with that unmistakable fire.

“Insane, or unforgettable?”

You couldn’t answer right away — not when your chest was still thundering, not when he was looking at you like that, his gaze steady and full of something more than adrenaline.

He stepped closer, his voice dropping, lower, softer.

“That’s what I wanted,” he admitted.

“That spark. The way you laugh when you stop holding back… it’s like watching the world light up.”

Your breath caught, the world suddenly quiet except for the echo of his words. You realized then that it wasn’t just the speed, or the danger, or the thrill that made your heart race. It was him — the way he lived, unafraid to chase what set his soul on fire, and the way he wanted you to burn with him.

As the city glimmered below and the bike cooled beside you, Jungkook reached for your hand, his fingers lacing through yours. “Next time,” he said with a grin,

“I’m teaching you how to drive.”

And just like that, the night didn’t feel terrifying anymore. It felt like ignition — the beginning of something that would never burn out.
