Just a quick warning for this chapter!! There's a creepy man that tries to get all flirty with Yuu 🤢 He doesn't get very far, but I still wanted to add a warning!

It's a necessary part to the plot tho, so I gotta write it!!

My eyes are caught by the sight of a familiar pair of patients.

Jamil and Kalim are there with a patient I don't recognise. He has purple hair, and yellow eyes from what I can see. (It's Scarabia student b-)

I make my way over, wanting to check up on the pair of my patients.

Kalim is the first to notice me, smiling warmly and waving. Jamil looks after, nodding in recognition.

"Hey, I didn't expect to see you today!" Kalim beamed at me, causing me to chuckle softly.

"I thought I'd make a round or two of the courtyard, make sure all my patients are okay."

Jamil smiles slightly at my words. "That's kind of you."

The patient I'm not familiar with observes me with wide eyes, his gaze flickering over my form before smirking slightly. "Oh, so this is your doctor now? They're cuter than I expected."

I stiffen awkwardly, not sure how to respond. Kalim on the other hand, smiles at their words. He's oblivious...

"You think so? They're so much better! Don't you think so Jamil?"

It was Jamil's turn to stiffen now, his face forced into a neutral state. "Yeah, I think so."

I nod politely to the patient. "I'm Doctor L/N. It's nice to meet you.."

"Bea." He responds curtly, before winking, albeit awkwardly.

I shift on my feet, uncomfortable at how he's acting. I simply turn to my patients, wanting to make sure they were okay before getting as much difference between me and Bea as possible.

"How have you two been today? The weather is getting colder, huh?"

"I've been pretty good! Thankyou!"

"Hm, I've been fine, Doctor."

I smile at them, glad they were cooperative.

"Aren't you gonna ask me how I am?~" Bea asks assertively, making me stiffen once more.

I turn to him, my expression professional. "Alright, how have you been today?"

He smirked widely, and I swore I could see Kalim's expression tighten in the corner of my vision.

"Better, now that you're here~" I internally cringe at his words.

"... Okay. I'm glad to hear that, but please refrain from using that language."

His expression immediately sours. "What, am I not allowed to be nice? Fuck, man."

Kalim places a hand on my shoulder, as Bea takes an aggressive step forward.

"Aha~ What's goin' on, huh?" A familiar voice comes from behind Bea as a hand tightly grips his shoulder.

Lyf shoves Bea roughly against the wall, smiling cruelly. "Is that any way to treat someone doing their fucking job?" He says with a strained tone.

My eyes widen. Lyf. Defending ME? This was bizarre.... But strange things have been happening lately.

Kalim pulled you back more, worry etched on his face as he turned you to face him. "I- I'm sorry about that, I didn't expect him to do that." He says quickly, his face scrunched up in worry. Jamil scowls at Bea from behind Kalim.

"Hey, it's alright. I'm okay." I say reassuringly, gently taking Kalim's hand off of my arm and giving it a squeeze. The boy blushes softly.

Bea lifts his hands in surrender as Lyf stares at him with a tight, almost aggressive smile. "Hey, chill out man! I didn't mean to ruffle your feathers, Lyf!"

Lyf snorts humourlessly. "Sure you fuckin' weren't..."

Lyf's eyes meet mine for a moment, before he storms off, growling lightly. My brow furrows.

Bea looks between me and Lyf cautiously, before murmuring an insincere 'sorry.'

"I'm... I'm gonna go somewhere else. Will you two be okay?" I ask Jamil and Kalim. The latter of the two nods eagerly.

"Yep! Stay safe, okay?" Kalim squeezes my hand lightly once more, before letting go.

Jamil smiles lightly at me. "Have a nice rest of your day, doctor."

I smile at the two, before making my way to...
