I sigh deeply, my breath hitching softly as I try to calm down.

I run a hand through my hair, my forehead pressed against the wood of my desk.

The silence of my office was a welcome change to earlier, the soft hum if the heater my only company.

... Ping!

And the silence was, sadly, gone.

My laptop, which I had opened before promptly face planting into my desk, popped a notification onto the screen.

"... Hf.." I grumble softly as I sit up, stretching out the stiffness in my shoulders. My chair scoots forward as I look at the notification.

'New message received!' A message? From who? Past me apologising for ever interacting with that Bea guy?

I read it with bleary eyes, looking over it a few times to properly take it in.

「𝙐𝙝, 𝙝𝙞. 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙄𝙙𝙞𝙖. 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩. 𝘽𝙪𝙩, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙗𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙡𝙮 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩. 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙮. 𝙊𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙮𝙖𝙧𝙙. 𝙏𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙢𝙚 𝙄 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪.」

I blink slowly, sighing deeply. I was wondering where he was during my lap of the courtyard. I type a response.

「𝙃𝙞 𝙄𝙙𝙞𝙖, 𝙄'𝙢 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙠𝙖𝙮, 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 𝙞𝙣!」

I lied. Obviously. I didn't want to make him uncomfortable.

「𝘼𝙡𝙨𝙤, 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙜𝙚?」

「𝙊𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙚.」

I chuckle dryly. For someone who didn't speak at all when I met him, he sure did type fast.

A small smile spreads on my face. It was nice to have someone check up on me after that, even if they were forced to by a small robot boy.
