Lemme tell ya, shit goes down in this one! Viewer discretion is advised!!!

-- Walk along the middle path towards the outdoor tables ✓
Final Option chosen!!
----------------------------

The walk to the centre of the courtyard was a bit longer than I would have liked, having to maneuver around the gaggles of patients.

As the tables come into view, so does a certain group.

Silver and Sebek have relocated to one of the tables, sitting near a certain horned fellow.

I call with a smile as I approach the table, catching the attention of Sebek.

"Good morning doctor!!" He greets cordially (and loudly), causing the other two to turn to me. Tsunotarou smiles softly, and Silver groggily nods to me.

Tsunotarou takes a moment to register who I am. After a moment, he smiles. "Hello again, Yuu."

I return the smile, moving to sit next to Silver. "Hi, how've you all been?"

"Good. Nothing too exciting." Silver says softly, causing Sebek to glare at him.

"Are you purposely eluding to the fact you passed out in a garden bed earlier!?" Sebek accuses, causing Tsunotarou to chuckle.

I smirk. "I actually saw that happen, believe it or not."

Silver blushes in embarrassment, as someone moves to sit next to me. "Ah, I hope I didn't interrupt something!~"

It was Lilia, smiling cheekily like he just did something, and will definitely do it again.

Sebek straightens out even more than before, nodding politely at Lilia. "Good morning!" "Yes, it is a lovely morning, isn't it?" Lilia says casually.

Silver yawns, partially leaning against me.

I gently nudge him. "You okay? Not sleep well or something?" He shakes his head.

Tsunotarou chuckles smoothly. "He's been groggy all day. It's quite amusing sometimes."

Sebek clears his throat, going to talk again, before another voice pipes up. An aggressive one.

"Oi! I'm not done with you yet!" They call out. Tsunotarou goes stiff as his eyes lock onto them. Sebek and Silver both immediately perk up, seeming far more alert.

I turn to look at them.

... Fuck, it was Bea. And he was walking over, a shit eating grin on his face.

"Kalim isn't out here anymore, you got no one to stop me now!"

My body goes into autopilot, fight or flight as I quickly stand up in fear. This type of man was one I knew regrettably well, and I wasn't thinking straight.

"You gonna be a bitch and ignore me, huh?!" He starts to walk faster, more aggressively. "That won't work forev-"

CRACK!

A fist collides with Bea's skull, causing him to stumble. The perpetrator doesn't give him time to recover, punching him abruptly once more.

It was Lyf...

"The fuck did I tell you, huh?!" Lyf screams as a crowd of rowdy patients gather, cheering in excitement.

"You think being a human equivalent of pond skum is gonna get your dick wet?!"

CRACK.

"You think harrassing people is flirting, huh?!"

CRACK.

"You pathetic excuse for a human!" He screams as he knocks Bea down, quickly moving to get on top of him, and pummeling him into the dirt. Lines of light spread on his skin.

I'm frozen. I can't move, nor can I resist as Tsunotarou gently pulls me closer to him, carefully holding me against his chest as his eyes never leave the fight.

I've only ever seen one of Lyf's outbursts. And it was on a replay of security camera footage to show me an example of something to look out for...

Seeing it in real life was something else. Tsunotarou gently covers my eyes with his hand.

I can still hear it though, the grunts and cries of pain, the sounds of flesh hitting flesh. And Lyf's enraged yelling.

The crowd of patients thins as guards and orderlies shove themselves through, grabbing Lyf and shoving him away from the now battered Bea.

... The rest is a bit of a blur.

---

"... You sure you'll be okay? That was pretty intense." Silver asks softly, his hand gently resting on my shoulder.

I nod, taking a breath. In all honesty, I might just holl myself in my office and cry. Sounds like a good time.

"I'll be fine. Thankyou Silver." I smile at him. He doesn't return it, clearly worried.

I mean, who wouldn't be? I almost got accosted by a guy who obviously had ideas other than just violence. And then I saw that same guy get pummeled into the ground.

The sight of his broken face, and Lyf's bloody fists, are seared into my brain.

Silver sighs softly. "Okay... I trust you. Stay safe." He says gently, as we go seperate ways.

I trudge to my office, closing the door, and slumping into my chair.

Fuck, I should've taken the day off...
