41. I Knew It

Emily and Dad have been fighting an awful lot and Emily keeps threatening to take Kate with her and leave. Like if anything TAKE CJ! I've both my siblings to death but I think the knot they had is really unraveling.

They just keep arguing. Emily keeps coming home late and dad well you know how he must be right now. I knew this would happen I knew it.

That's exactly why I didn't get attached I'm just a couple steps smarter than my dad and her. I wouldn't be heart broken if she left because I was way prepared for this.

CJ dad and I got back from shopping at the mall to come home to see something shocking before our eyes.

Emily had her bags packed along with Kates and she was about to leave without my dad knowing.

"Emily", my dad questioned heart broken.

"Cameron I'm leaving I'm taking Kate with me I - I've been seeing someone for two weeks and well they appeal to me more", she said.

"You can't just take Kate", he said raising his voice.

"Yeah I can and if you think I can't we can take this up with the county judge", she said. Emily's dad was the county's judge my dad would automatically lose from default and unfairness.

"Whatever Emily", he said trying to hold back tears.

Dad gave Kate the biggest hug and kisses her head. He looked at Emily and scoffed. CJ and I did the same two Kate and the same thing our dad did to Emily all though CJ was lost and didn't quite know what to do.

Emily took her bags and walked out the door slamming it behind her.

Dad say on the couch and out his head in his hands. That all happened so fast.

I sat beside dad and put my head on his shoulder.

CJ sat on the couch and started crying. It's like I was the only one 0% affected in this situation. I knew not to get too attached.

"Did she not want me too", he cried.

Dad did nothing. He sat on the couch with his head down doing nothing. Looking at nothing. Just there. It's like everything had been thrown at him at once he was trying to take it in.

I went over to CJ and gave him a hug

"Your still the best biggest brother ever", I said in his shoulder

"Yeah sure", he said wiping away tears.

"Dad", I questioned.

He didn't reply.

"You know that one time my goldfish died and I stood there staring at the wall for 40 minutes and you told me it's okay to cry well you know that it's okay to cry now", I said hugging him.

He bundled me in a hug and stroked my hair. He was crying a lot.

He looked at his wrist.

"Well guys God has a plan and I'm sure this will be okay soon", he said hurt still in his voice.

"Why don't we go to Ma'mas", dad said referring to his mom.

"Sure", I perked up.

"Cmon CJ", I said as I pulled his arm.

"No I wanna sulk", he said.

I mean he did just lose his "mom".

"I'll buy you guys candy", dad said.

"Okay", CJ said kinda happier.

We got to the car and went to 7-11. I saw Sophia's cousin working behind the counter.

"Hay Kayla be super nice to my dad today Emily walked out on him and took Kate with her", I said giving her the heads up. She usually messes with my dad and makes fun of him just as a joke.

"You alright kiddo", she asked.

"I'm fine I know not to get attached", I said.

"Never trust a bitch", she said.

"Here babe I know you want your usual", she said handing me sour haribo gummy bears and a root beer.

"Thanks", I said and gave it to my dad.

"Addison get a juice you know root beer makes you sugar high", he said.

"Please daddy ", I said in a baby voice trying to swoon him over. (I thought so dirty just now😂)

"Well I guess you can", he smiled.

*at cams moms house*

Cameron

"Cameron she used you", Sierra said flat out.

"She didn't use me she just was interested in other guys", i said.

"No cam i studied on this before she like played with your mind", she said putting some dough in flour.

"She wanted you at first but she could tell that you could fulfill her other needs so she convinced you into thinking that she couldn't take care of another kid although all she wanted was Kate she was making you play a game most of this time", Sierra explained and it all made sense. It didn't really effect me that Kate was gone not saying that I didn't like her or anything but I just wanted one daughter to be honest and I wanted a sun so I guess that's just God doing his thing.

"I just can't believe this", I said shaking my head.

"Can just sleep on it for a while dinner won't be ready till about 8:00 so take a nap", she said.

"Cam its just God doing his thing", my mom said. What the heck did she read my mind or something.

I laid on the couch and jake came running in to lay next to me.

Addison was spitting on the other side of the couch watching sponge bob and cuddled into a huge blanket that she was sharing with a napping CJ.

"At least I have my family", I whispered to myself before falling asleep.
