Addison

"Addison", I heard someone call out. A familiar yet non familiar voice.

I started to open my eyes slowly. It hurt really bad. I squeezed them back shut then flicked then open quickly.

I looked around and saw I was in the hospital. I looked at the window from across the room.

Judy Rodriguez Child Hospital

When did we get here. I looked down at my hands and saw that there were wires and tubes hooked to me.

Then I saw something recognizable in front of me.

My mom.

"Addison your up", she said giving me the biggest hug ever.

"Yeah", I said awfully confused.

"Um she probably doesn't know what's going on", this man doctor said.

I looked around some more. There were balloons and cards and stuffed animals.

I looked back at the doctor.

"Addison you were in the pool a couple months ago about seven to be exact and well you've been in a coma for an awful long time", he said.

"Wait really", I asked. I looked to my left to see my mom but she was gone.

"Um she went to get your brother and sister and dad", he said.

"Wait are there names Cameron and Kate", I asked.

"Yes! Very good, you remember them", he said.

"No no no, I said they are adopted my mom, my mom she is dead and and my dad has a girlfriend her name is um um", I couldn't remember.

"Sweetie that was probably a dream a very long dream, that happens in comas , honey a coma is when you hit your head or overdose or aren't in contact with air in your condition that is", he said.

"Your brain makes up entertainment for itself while the body tries to wake you up from your deep sleep", he explained.

Just then my dad and mom, CJ and Kate all walked in.

"Your not dead", I said looking at her in amazement.

She looked a little horrified so did dad. But her face softened.

"No I'm not baby", she said kissing my cheek.

I looked up to dad.

"How you doing my little runt", he said ruffling my hair.

"I'm not really sure", I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Here is some medicine, you want to take it to your sister", the doctor asked Kate.

She nodded excitedly.

She brought it over to me and I drank it.

The taste was very strong and started like rubbing alcohol.

Things started coming back to my brain.

I was at the pool, a pool party in fact, Sophia was there. YES SOPHIA IS REAL! We were running around with each other having a good time.

I saw this other girl with ombré hair accidentally bump into me. I fell into the deepest end of the pool but I can't swim that deep! It was a whole 20 feet! I remember now.

I started to drown but then I saw someone carrying me out the pool. Last thing I can remember is the sirens of the ambulance.

"So when are we going to play baby dolls", Kate asked.

Before I could answer mom cut in.

"Kate maybe Addison should get some rest first you and CJ can play", she said.

"What! No way mom", he said. She gave him one look and he shut up.

"They are biologically my brother and sister", I asked.

"Yes", dad said.

"And and I'm 13 right", I asked.

"Um no sweetie you still twelve , not yet thirteen", dad laughed.

"Oh", I said I could feel my cheeks turning red.

The nurses soon came to unhook me from the cables.

Mom and dad signed a few papers and we were out of there.

Everything has came together and I am still confused as ever.

"You were in a coma idiot", CJ said as if he could read my thoughts.

"Shut up", I laughed and kinda said stern.

Finally this fuckery makes since!
