My mini me (Kate's) birthday was this week she turned 10 😭. Butttttttt yes I did dedicate the character Kate in the book to the Kate in my life I just wanted to tell y'all that love ya Kate 💓. (Sorry for dedicating a lot)

Addison

It's been pretty hard since last week.

I'm still recovering. With him and Kate gone I've been pretty messed up.

The schools talent show is next week but I'm soooo not ready.

I want to sing but I also want to dance.

I was gonna talk to my dad about it but he's been hanging out with Laura........

Yes they still see eachother.

There distance changes them talking did not.

He cared about my black eye and bruised body parts for a little maybe.

But now he's back to Laura.

"What to do what to do", I said into myself.

I had a fern sparkly notebook infront of me with a pen and feathers on the butt of it.

"Ugh this is hard", I grumbled.

"What's wrong kiddo", dad said pulling my long ponytail.

"Shouldn't you be with Laura", he looked a little hurt.

"Why don't you want me with you", he said.

He's got to be kidding me.

"You're the one who's always with her and all of a sudden you want to be around me I've learned to liked the sweetness of solitude", I snapped.

"Fine", he said.

"Bye have fun with Laura", I said saying Laura in a disgusted tone.

"Why can't you be happy for me", he said.

I squinted my eyes at him evilly.

"Addison I will never ever love anyone the way I love your mom" I mocked.

"Addison your mom was the prettiest girl ever"

"Addison me and your mo-"

"That's enough Addison", he said.

"I'm not finished", I snapped.

"Addison this about mom that about mom blah blah a while bunch of crap", I said throwing my notebook and pen on the floor and stormed upstairs.

Cameron

I ran my hands through my hair.

She's right I want to think she's wrong. I want to think that I'm the dad she can't talk to me like that. But it's true. Nobody was able to tell me the truth to spare my feelings but really Addison is real just like... Well I'm we all know who.

Addison doesn't have much a filter and if she thinks it for long enough it comes out unprocessed not in a nicer version just as harsh.

I picked up her notebook and read it.

She was coming up with pros and cons of singing at the talent show.

She's got a lovely voice like Cassie.

I want her to sing.

I HAVE AN IDEA!

I went up to my room and rummaged through old videos. I found one of Cassie doing her old covers.

I held it in my hand and went to addisons room.

I knocked.

"Can I come in", I asked nicely knowing she's in a bad mood although I rather bust in.

"Whatever", I heard a faint voice say.

I walked in.

"What", she said gripping on her stuffed animal from Caleb.

"I read your notebook if you didn't mind", I said.

"Okay", she shrugged she wasn't that interested.

"And if it matters to you at all I want you to sing by you don't have to buy here's a video of your mom singing when she was younger maybe you wanted to watch it", I said handing her the DVD.

"Thanks", she said smiling slightly.

I was about to leave.

"Dad", she said.

"Yes",I said messing with my hair.

"I hope I didn't you know make you sad when I talked about mom like that I was just trying to make a point", she said looking down at her fingers.

"It's good", I said kissing her forehead.

Addison

I popped in the video.

"This is Cassie", she said making a silly face.

"This is weird", she said smiling up at someone off the camera.

Dad came in frame.

"Sing hurry up the battery is gonna die", he Dias pulling her ponytail like he did me today. I touched my ponytail and put it on my shoulder.

"Okay then get out I don't like people watching me", mom whined.

"Me neither mom", I whispered.

"Ugh okay bye", he said going to sit on the chair.

"CAMERON", she squeal laughed.

"Okay just sing ill close my eyes", he said.

"Whatever", she said getting ready to sing.

"That was ugh should I film it again Alex", she said turning the camera off.

"I wish she was still here", I said.

"Ugh", I said trowing the computer on the chair.

"If she was here it'd be a lot better huh Jaxx", I asked him as he sat on my bed.

He barked.

"I know right", I said.

"Should I sing", I asked.

He barked super loud.

I giggled.

"I'll think about it", I smiled.

"Jaxx you wanna go outside", I asked him.

He ran to the door.

Jaxx is super smart.

"I'm gonna audition", I told dad before takin him out
