Dear Fans this is just a filler chapter. I will tell you I’m supposed to be studying for my 2 final tomorrow which I’m not doing because I’m writing this so you better vote and comment or I’ll start crying because I failed my finals and nobody voted and commented.
PIcture of Anevia and her clothing. Her hair curly and down to her mid back though.
3 Years Later
I watch Anevia giggle, splashing water everywhere, including on me. I laugh pulling her out the draining tube. She was exactly 3 years old today but she looked older. Her long curly light brown hair stuck to back and those big brown eyes watch me full of curiosity. “Mommie can we go to parh(park).” I shrug my shoulders.
“I don’t know.” The instant I say it her expression blanks making her look more like her father. I bit my lips to keep from tearing. How can I love him so much after what he wanted to do? I thought that after 3 years he would have become but a memory in my head and yet he still haunts my dreams.Dimitri.
“Mommie who Mitri(Dimitri).” Anevia asks her voice adult like and full of wonder. I didn’t notice that I had said it out loud. “Who he mommie. You alway cry at nite for him. I heah you call his name.” She asks still expressionless like her father. “Is he a bad man.” I shake my head finally answering a question.
“No he isn’t, well, at least he wasn’t to me. Come on let's get you dressed so we can go out for your birthday. I have something planned for you.’ I say smile at her. Anevia smiles forgetting that I had said anything. I carry her to her very pink bedroom. I had laid a fuchsia lace ruffled skirt with a black noisy doll sleeve shirt. I paired the outfit with black stud and strap low Moto ankle boot and a black gir bracelet. I dress her quickly then place her on my hip. She is too big but I don’t care. “Okay you’re going to love where we’re going Princess.” I grab her Dora bag and my car keys. I walk around making sure the windows are closed. We head outside to the car. I place her on ground to open the car door.
“What’s your name?” I hear a man’s low murmurs.
“My name is Ane.” Her childish voice replies. Running towards her my eyes widen. “What you name.” I come into view and stop at the scene. He smiles kneeling in front my princess.
“I’m Dimitri.” Dimitri answers. She gives him the same exact smile making him widen his eyes in shock.
“My Mommie talk bout you. She say you nice man to her.” His gives her the same inane expression I’ve gotten so before. She unintentionally mimics his expression. I know what he is thinking. She looks and acts a lot like him.
“Anevia come here.” I order not trusting myself around him. It seem that the more I’m away from him the more I want him. She turns running to me with a wide smile.
“Mommie it Mitri.” She shrieks in excitement jumping into my arms.
“Yes, it’s Dimitri Princess. Come here Dimitri we need to talk.” I utter using his signature expression. Placing Anevia in her car seat I tell her “Stay put honey. I have to talk with Dimitri.” I feel a slight tug on my sleeve.
“Mommie my fren(Friend) av(have) daddy is Mitri my Daddy?” My mouth falls in shock. She has never ask this before. We have no escape and I know one way or another we will go back with him, so I decide to tell her the truth about Dimitri.
“Yes he is your father.” A wide smile spreads on her face and she starts squirming trying to loosen her seat belts. “Stay or we will stay home.”
“What are you doing here?” My voice full of authority but I had no confidence in me, just lust.
“You know why.”
“I’m not going back. I want a normal life for her and returning with you will not give her that. Now excuse me we are about to go celebrate her birthday and you’re not going to ruin it for her.”
“I’m going with you and that was an order.” His brown eye gazing into mine. Sighing in defeat I walk getting into the driver’s seat and waiting for him to get in the car. Once inside I pull out the drive way and go to the surprise party.
We get out the car Anevia chatting vigorously with Dimitri who is holding her right hand whilst I hold her left one. Picture us together send shivers down my spine; we look like a family and I love it. Entering the place put Dimitri on an edge. If it hadn’t been for me he would have punch the closet person in the face but luckily I with the help of Anevia we stopped him. Anevia loves it she jumps up and down and is surrounded by friends. The adults stand whispering amongst each other. “Hello Rosemarie.” Catalina purrs looking only at Dimitri. He stiffens moving closer to me. My lip twitches revealing a satisfied smile.
“Hello Catalina this is Dimitri. Dimitri this Catalina my friend.” I utter flatly. “I’m going to check on Anevia be right back.” He hesitantly nods at me.
Dimitri P.O.V
The moment Roza leaves my side I’m bombarded by women with lustful eyes. They showered with questions. Are you and Rosemarie dating? Why would you be dating her she has a kid? You couldn’t possibly like her and my like me needed a real women? I am noticing a pattern here they aren’t really Roza friends. I also can’t get used to her being called by her full first name. I wring myself from the crowd and move closer to the bar where there is no one but a bartender cleaning glass cups. Sitting down on a stool I sigh and curse at myself for being such an awful person and an awful father. How could I’ve hurt Roza the way I did? Why doesn’t she hate me? Why did she speak nicely about me when all I’ve done is hurt her? “Wan sumtin to drink?” The bartender speaks breaking my train of thought
“No thank you.” I reply forcefully not wanting to continue the conversation but he doesn’t get it and continues talking to me.
“Wom’n problem or self loathin’?” He says as he chugs down some clear liquid I assume is vodka.
“Both—I’m.” My speaking is interrupted by childish giggles and shrieks of joy. I look at Anevia skipping down to me with a smile so similar to mine. My daughter, my beautiful daughter. How can I take her innocence away by thrusting her into our cruel world? How can I take that smile away from her forever because of all the death and murders?
“Daddy, come take picture.” She order acting just like her mother. My heart drops to my stomach. Why couldn’t life be all light and no darkness? I stand up and open my arms as she jump into them. Compared to me she is so tiny and fragile.
“Cute kid. Looks jus’ like you.” I nod walking back towards the children’s play area, finding Roza standing there just listening to their conversation. I stand next to her and I can feel all eyes on me.
“Daddy, mommie come let take picture.” She once again orders squirming to get free. We succumb to her demands posing every different way her little heart demand. I find this all too amusing how small and demanding like her mother she was. “One more of daddy and mommie only. You hav to kiss on lips.” I choke on air, not expecting that to come out of her lips.
“What?”
“Just do it.” I can hear Roza chuckling beside me.
“Come one let’s get this over with because she is really a force to be reckoned with when she’s angry.” She answers looking at the ground, I know she is trying to hide a smile and just that thought of that makes my heart skip a beat and my blood run hot. I pull her closer to my body then put my hand under her chin tilting her head so that she her eyes bored into mine. I lean closer to her, every second taking me closer to her soft lips until my lips were upon hers.
