Captors

I watch as she gracefully walks, her head held high, her shoulder never slouching, and her voice as beautiful as any melody sung by the gods. She would be the ultimate perfection if it weren’t for her eyes. They are normal, like any other human eyes. Her eyes were a beautiful chocolate brown color and they are almond shape. What makes them imperfect is how soulless they look. You can see it when she laughs, or when she is angry they never change. They stay that same way empty, lifeless, and soulless. It always sends chill down my back. She is the last Body, as we call them, chosen but soon there will be another.

Let me tell you a little more about my life. My name is Jayr and I live in sector 4. A sector is like a very small country back when the humans ruled. Yes the human race as going extinct. The very first day of 2012 they started dying off from some mystery sickness, from my family I’m the only who lived, my parents died. I was still a baby when the disease took my family. It’s been 18 years since it all started.

Then we humans started mating with humanoids making gifted children but it is just to save the human race. The humanoids do not care for us; they see us as trash not worthy of anything but a time in their bed. Now, don’t ask me where the humanoids came from because no one knows. There are rumors that they are aliens, but no one cared when they started mating with humans. The humanoids look exactly like humans except for the tattoos they have that come out randomly.

I live with a humanoid family, they aren’t like other humanoids they actually care about me and don’t treat me like trash. They treat me as if I am part of their family. My humanoids parents, Nora and Tim have three children, there is their oldest Parker, he’s tall blonde and lean. Then there is their two youngest, their twin Kary, and Terrie they are 5 years old and the cutest little things ever. They all look like blonde gods skinny with perfect soft faces and bodies not like me I have dark long hair with dark eyes and sharp feature some may say too sharp I’m a little bit on the big side as well.

“THEIR OPENING THE GATES, HIS MEN ARE COMING OUT!” Someone yells, cueing me to drop my work. I run trying to find Mary and Terrie, who are playing with their friends. People, scramble around getting their kids. I look around for them but I can’t find them.

“Kary, Terrie.” I shout trying to beat the uproar of the rushing people. I keep searching and searching until the chaos of the people has become quiet. The only sound heard is the click clock of the horse feet. They are getting close and I need to find them fast. “Kary, Ter—.

“Jayr get in the house.” Parker says catching my attention, he isn’t too close to me but I can still tell it’s him. He looks anxious to be home and safe away from the soldiers.

“I can’t, Kary and Terrie are nowhere to be found.” I tell him anxiously.

“Maybe they are at home.”

“No they are—.”

“Jayr, Parker what happening?” The twins say in union, making me sigh in relief.

“We have to get—.” I close my mouth the moment I see them. They are behind the twins, riding rapidly towards them. The first two soldiers are leaning over to grab. The soldiers are wearing all black, and a gas helmet. My instincts kick in and I run towards them as fast as I could, ignoring Parker’s protests. They are getting closer, I tell myself, pushing my feet harder. My heart is beating rapidly, my mind blocking out everything but my mission. I run until I reach the twins and then push them out of the way letting the soldiers take me instead.  The moment they get their filthy hands on me they turn around going back to the gates

“Jayr , no. Jayr.” Parker yells, running towards me. I shake my head.

“Take them home Parker. Make sure they’re safe.” He shakes his head, and keeps on running towards us. He won’t let me go and I know they’ll hurt him. “Please Parker do it for me. Take them home and keep them safe for me.” I shout to him a tear sliding down my face. I see him nod his head before disappearing from sight. I start fighting the gripping hand once I know I am far enough from them. I place my hand on the soldiers and scratch his hand. I can feel his grip loosening I kick once more before I am rolling on the ground adrenaline pumping through my veins keeping me from feeling any pain. When I stop rolling I stand up and run away trying to find a places to hide. The sound of horses is getting closer and I start to get scared that they will catch me. I look around until I find an empty house and smiles spreads on my face but before I can celebrate hands wrap around my body.

“Got you, you’re a feisty one aren’t you? The sir is going to like you.” The soldier that grabbed me before says to me giving me an emotionless smile, before dragging me away and hands me to another man. I can sense his hate for everything in his path.

“Parker, Kary, Terrie.” I whisper. “Mom, dad.” I whisper even lower.

“Aw that’s cute, she’s calling for her lover, and it’s so sad you’ll never be with him again.” Another captor taunts, bursting into malicious laughter.  I didn’t bother retorting, I just let the tears roll down my face. My family, my life will change I know it. My hands are tied so I won’t attempt escaping again. I glare at the taunting man, wanting some kind of revenge for his laughing at my misery. I hear him growl before he pulls my hair and sends his fist flying to my face.  My vision starts to blur until all I could see is darkness.
