Takes place right after Max's death, before the entire 'Alec-coming-out-to-the-Clave-and-his-family-and-friends' thing.
Also, felt like a long time since I put actual "proper" smut on this story so, here ya go.
Warning: BoyxBoy
Alec laid in his bed, his right arm resting lazily on his forehead and his left dangling off the side. Today was Max's funeral, so he wore white. He hated the bright color even more then before. Max didn't deserve to die. He was too innocent for such a bloody death.
His mother cried heavily when they came back to the Penhollow house, locking herself in the room she shared with her husband. Robert never came home, drifting off toward who knows where. All Alec knew was that the person who took it hardest, is Isabelle, who blamed it all on herself. She blamed her for Sebastian being left alone with Max, for not listen ping to him when he saw him scale the guard, for everything. She didn't even go to the funeral, believe she didn't deserve to.
Jace on the other hand was the calmest person there, beside Alec. Both stood side by side, hands crossed I front of their bodies and watched as the fire engulfed their brother's died body. He later snuck out to where Alec thought was to Clary. Alec knew that he no longer loved Jace, but he still feared what he would do with Clary.
Jace is a heartbreaker with a poor since of judgement in his heart. He'd always race into judgements, which is a bad thing.
"How are you doing?" Asked a soft voice that caused Alec to jump in shock. The warlock covered in glitter jumped through the window and bent down to his boyfriend, who know laid on the floor disheveled.
"I'm fine," Alec said hoarsely. Magnus brushed off Alec's clothes before helping his back on the bed.
"Let me rephrase: Why are you holding in your sadness?" Alec looked up at the warlock in shock.
"I'm not in the mood Magnus," Alec replied, lightly shoving Magnus off his shoulder. He didn' want anyone near him at this point. The last time he saw the warlock, he admitted his love to him and promise for him to meet his parents if they survived the invasion. Alec didn't want his parents to meet Magnus yet. It was a bad time and Alec feared his parents would think they lost another child to a demon.
"I can sense your upset Alexander," replied Magnus, sitting down on the now rumpled bed, holding Alec's hands gently. Alec sat down as well, facing the beautiful feline eyes that belonged to his boyfriend.
"I am," Alec whispered," and I also know I promised you that you'd meet my parents, but I can't..." Alec was cut off by Magnus's lips crashing into his. Alec moaned lightly when Magnus bit his lover lip, pulling it before letting it go.
"I don't care if I meet them now," Magnus comforted, "but I want you to be honest with me. I don't want you holding in your feelings anymore. Tell me how you feel." Magnus begged slightly, his lip quivering and gave "puppy dog" eyes, which looked even more adorable with cat eyes.
"I'm not really heart broken over Max's death," Alec finally said. He waited slightly, preparing impact of Magnus's shock toward his cold-heartlessness. When it didn't come, he continued.
"Yes, I'm very sad he is gone. He was the only thing that held my family and life together. But, I'm not heart broken, because though I lost my brother, I gained you. I love you Magnus Bane and I don't ever want to lose you. Your the only thing now that holds my life together, no matter how stupid it sounds." Magnus chuckled slightly, making Alec quirk an eyebrow slightly.
"I love you to Alexander Lightwood. And I will always be with you." He placed his hand lightly to Alec's reddening cheeks before kissing him lightly. Alec wrapped his hands around the back of Magnus's neck, pulling the warlock toward him, their chest colliding, the kiss becoming more heated.
