Alec stood in front of the mirror. Jace and Simon were helping him get ready, as Malcolm and Bat were getting ready themselves. Today was the day he was going to marry Magnus. He was already blushing at the thought of every single one of his friends and family staring at him, especially when he and Magnus kissing.
"Alec, if you don't calm down now, you'll be having a stroke," said Jace, trying to calm Alec down, clearly not working. Alec looked at himself in the full body mirror of his old bedroom in the Institute for the first time. His skin was even paler then it already was, sweat beating down his face making him look like he just a swim in the Arctic Ocean. He also noticed that he was shaking uncontrollably.
"I can't calm down Jace! I mean it's my wedding day," Alec was fully feeling the Forsaken Tongue affect fading away. Even after two months, the affects followed him. He wanted to wear makeup and glitter and tight clothing on random days, making him feel free being the kind of person he wanted to be. But today was on the days were he wanted to be hidden, or as hidden as you could be with the High Warlock of Brooklyn as your boyfriend.
"I know I knew you and Magnus before the whole mind erase-thingy," said Simon, pulling Alec's tie down so it was wrinkle free. "But I really don't remember much, except that you two love each other more then most mundane straight couples, and shouldn't that matter?" Alec raised one of his eyebrows as Jace started to laugh.
"Yes, I do love Magnus, but he's a Downworlder and I'm a Shadowhunter-" he was interrupted by Bat, who was only in his tuxedo shirt, tie, and boxer shorts.
"But didn't Luke marry Jocelyn? I mean, he's a werewolf and she's a Shadowhunter, and aren't the Clave okay with that?" Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Yes, but Luke was a Shadowhunter, and Jocelyn kind of quit being one," said Alec quietly. He knew that he was going to be hated by the Clave more then ever by the end of this day. He is marrying a Downworlder. He is marrying someone of the same gender. He has immortality now. He will live longer then any member of the Council, making them hate him more.
He started to breathe heavily, placing his hand above his heart. Simon and Jace tried to get him to tell them what was wrong, but he could only pant.
"I can't do this," he mumbled to himself between pants, hoping that no one heard.
"Why can't you do it?" Alec cursed Bat's werewolf super hearing. All the groomsmen looked at Alec, who was paler then usual. Alec blushed at everyone staring at him. How can I handle two-hundred people if I can't even contain a blush with four, Alec thought to himself.

Jace noticed his parabatai in distress and started to rub Alec's back, whispering for him to calm down. Malcolm, Bat, and Simon were noticing the tension, so they decided to check up on the girls and Magnus.
Once the two were alone, Jace sat on the bed that used to belong to Alec. The sheets were black, and was placed flatly on the mattress, two white pillows were placed at the head of the queen-sized bed. Alec was breathing hard, pacing in a small circle in front of Jace, fiddling with the engagement ring that shined gold, blue, and green against the immortal Shadowhunter's pale fingers.
Jace starred out the window onto the backyard of the Institute, as gold and white streamers, balloons, chairs, and many other designs were placed for the wedding. The backyard was usually unnoticed and untouched, only being recognized when the grass started to get to long and needed to get cut. Now, people were being getting into seats, or conversing between each other. Jace noticed as Maryse, Robert, and Jia Penhallow talking to each other, that was apparently good news as all three adults were smiling. He also noticed Aline and Helen, talking to Helen's step-brother, Julien Blackthorn and his parabatai Emma Carstairs.
