Alec walked on the crowded street, people pushing to get to where they needed. He grumbled as a man with black hair bumped into him, making him drop with bags full of glitter, makeup, flowers, chocolates, and groceries for his and Magnus's anniversary on the ground.

"Oh my," said the man, getting on his knees and started to pick up. "I'm sorry, I'm just trying to make it home for me and my husband's anniversary." Alec got of his knees, helping picking up the mess.

"That's so weird, it me and my boyfriend's anniversary too," he proclaimed, "My names Alec Lightwood, by the way." The man's head shot up, his bright blue eyes wide.

"Like the Shadowhunter, Lightwood?" He asked, making Alec drop a bottle of green glitter. Alec examined the man's arm, it was covered with silver lines, indicating runes that were worn out, or stripped off him.

"Yes," he said, looking over the middle-aged man.

"I'm Max. Max Trueblood. I'm apparently your uncle," he said, his voice hitching. Alec gasped, knowing that his mother's brother left the Clave in order to marry a mundane.

"Your my uncle?" He asked, confused. All the stories he heard, it was that he was marring and female mundane.

"Yes. It seems so," Max said.

"Oh my god," Alec proclaimed, getting weird looks from mundane New Yorkers, "I thought you left the Clave to marry a female mundane!" Max snickered.

"That what she told you?" He asked, laughing in between words. "I didn't leave. I was kicked out because I was gay. It was that, or forced to marry a female Shadowhunter," explained Max, handing over a bag toward Alec, who already had the others in his hands. "I didn't want to be another Shadowhunter they could control. I wanted to be my own person. I took the first option of being disowned by the Clave, got stripped of my marks, and I moved here. When I first laid a foot on this soil, I met a caring man, who fell in love with me. He was a warlock and we both knew that I would die one day, but that didn't stop him." Alec forced the tears not to fall.

"I'm in love with a warlock too," said Alec, pulling Max threw the crowd. "He's the High Warlock of Brooklyn."

"Magnus," exclaimed Max, "He's one of Cole's oldest friends!"

"Maybe we should go on a double date tomorrow," suggested Alec.

His uncle smiled. "Me and Cole haven't been on a date in forever!"

"Great, I'll inform Magnus, and I'll give the time and place." They exchanged numbers, and went their separate ways. Alec ran toward the Brooklyn loft, wanting to explain to him the most amazing things that ever happened to him.

As he open the door to the loft, he saw his mom and dad stand up from the pink couch Magnus begged him for.

"Alexander, is something wrong?" Asked Maryse, her face paling.

"No, only something wonderful and I'm glad that you two are here as well," he proclaimed, throwing the bags into their room, and closing the door.

"Are you pregnant?" Asked Robert, almost as it was supposed to be a joke.

"Maybe," said Magnus scooting over on the black couch Alec made Magnus get, "I'm a warlock. You never know what may happen." All three Lightwoods stared at Magnus with pale faces.

"No," awkwardly said Alec, "I met Max Trueblood!" Maryse's face seem to grow paler-if it was possible-as she stared at her son.

"Max, as my brother?" She asked, Robert holding his ex-wife's hand.

"Yes. And he, his husband, and you and I are going on a double date tomorrow," he said, cuddling into Magnus. Maryse's face soon became mad, the pale turning red.

"You are not going to see him," she yelled, pointing toward Alec. "I will not let you turn into him!"

"To late," said Alec, trying to stay calm. "I'm gay, as well as he. We both are in love with a warlock, even with immortality in the way, and we don't give a damn for what the Clave says." Robert sneered at his oldest son, and stood up.

"We'll give you this choice now Alexander. Either stay with the faggot and get kicked out the Clave, or leave him, so we can find you a female Shadowhunter." Alec stood up, despite Magnus trying to pull him back. He held his hands out, palm up.

"Strip me of my marks," he said, cold as stone, "I'm not going to be another shave the Clave will control. I am who I am. I will love who I love. No one will take that from me." Maryse looked at her son with disgust and disappointment.

"I will contact the Clave," Robert spoke, turning away from the two. "And Magnus, do what you want with him, you don't need our opinion anymore." And with that, they both stomped out.

"What did they mean?" He asked, looking toward Magnus. The warlock sighed, pulling a small box out of his back pocket.

"I wanted their blessing so I could ask to marry you, but it seems like a very terrible time," he said sadly.

"Foolish warlock," said Alec, taking the box out of Magnus's hand, "even when I was being stabbed to death, it would be a perfect time to ask me to marry you." Magnus smirked, pulling the silver ring out of the box, and placed it on his ring finger. Alec sat on Magnus's lap, and kissed him lightly on the lips.

"Best anniversary gift ever," said Alec.

"It was the only one you gotten," retorted Magnus, smiling against Alec's lips.

"Don't ruin the mood," commanded Alec, before smashing his lips against the Warlock's.

Next Chapter will be their double date. I wanted to a two parter after my series of one-shots. Y'all need suspense.
