Super short. Super painful. I'm not in the best moods so suffer.
Magnus stared in the dying blue eyes of his boyfriend. Blood dripped from the open gash in his stomach, staining the white sheets.
Isabelle clung to Simon, crying, screaming for her brother to live. Simon shredded a few tears knowing one of his friends was dying, even losing his memory of the boy. Jace cried to-right after he damaged half the Institute-clutching his parabatai rune on his shoulder. Clary clung to both Luke and Jocelyn, who sat in place of Maryse and Robert, who were gone for "business ", or celebrating the death of the burden in their family.
"I'm so sorry, Alexander," chocked Magnus, trying to close the wound, but the venom was powerful. Only found in the Princes of Hell. Found in his father. Asmodeus.
"That's okay Magnus," wheezed Alec, spitting blood from his mouth,"you tried your hardest."
"I need to try harder," cried Magnus, the blur sparks becoming louder, brighter, and more out of control.
"Magnus, stop," said Alec, gripping his hand. Magnus cried and watched as his lover's lips curled into a weak smile. "It's my time. It had to happen eventually."
"But it was my father. He stabbed you. He's killing you," he yelled.
"I'm used to people not liking me," Alec said quietly, "my parents are celebrating my death, the clave will probably bury me at crossroads, hell, even though they won't admit it, Jace and Isabelle probably thought of me as someone weak and fragile person ever since they found out. When we broke up, they acted like I was someone who would break down at the single touch, or kill them if they mentioned you." Isabelle and Jace stared at him, their eyes large, red, and puffy.
"We never did Alec," protested Isabelle.
"I kinda did," said Jace. "Alec, yes I became your parabatai because you were a great fighter, but I sensed that you also trusted people easily. You never loved them, but you trusted them till a knife was in your back. I wanted to protect you from those who I knew will kill you." Alec closed his eyes and smiled.
"Thanks for being honest, might be the last time," he looked at Magnus.
"I love you," said Magnus, chocking out every word, "I love you and I always will."
"It's okay if you don't," replied Alec,"you even said once that a hundred years with immortality, you forgot the face of your mother. I want you to move on and find the right one."
"But you're it," whispered Magnus.
"I know I'm not. You don't have to lie just because I'm going to die." No more words were spoken. Magnus cried on Alec's torn chest rising and falling slower and shakier. Minutes seemed like hours, then, Alec died.
His chest stopped falling. Stopped rising. His pulse stopped . His heart stopped beating. His blue eyes became like glass. Everyone in the infirmary that day died a little inside, losing one of the bravest people they have known.
He was burned, buried at crossroads, like he said. Only those who were with him during his death was present. Magnus wished that their more of those who weren't judgmental asses. Alec deserved days worth of parties and celebration, but all he got was a crummy funeral and a punishment.
His last thoughts were probably if not being loved by any, but that was wronged. Many lived him, but didn't want to say so because of the Clave's iron rule.
Alec deserved everything better then what he was given.
Alec deserved a better way to die.
Alec deserved better parents.
Alec deserved a better life.
Alec deserved better then Magnus. But Magnus was glad to have had for as long as he did. It was the best few months of his life. He would try his hardest not to forget the most perfect person he'd ever fallen in love with.
