After having meat buns and a couple of sodas at the famous shop in Ferra market, Leo dropped DJ off at the mansion and retired home, feeling ecstatic for spending time with a beautiful boy by his side. He cherished the moments of having cheap stuffed buns and warm sodas at a local stall, the silence of the night that ruled Ferra market and the drizzle that tickled his warm skin under the open sky. Leo experienced refreshment just by doing something he never thought he would in his life, the joy of being carefree for once while roaming the dead and cluttered streets of an infamous market, known for its unhygienic atmosphere. Leo was positively distracted from the disturbing events going on around him, threats and troubles were at bay for a night and the young lord wanted to keep it that way for a while.

Cillian and Horace brought nothing but problems since the day they were exposed to the lord. Disputes over the properties, docks and other places were becoming a routine while the stocks caught in the argument between the Mafias pressured Leo's nerves as he ran to places to sort matters. Going out and having undisturbed time from exhausting people was what Leo needed; he was thankful to the boy who accompanied him through the dinner and didn't shy away at any moment.

The way DJ listened to whatever Leo said, adding a few of his timid answers in between while he munched on his food, fooled Leo's senses for a moment and he found himself losing his mind for the detective. It wasn't until the boy requested to go home that Leo snapped out of his fantasy and sighed, before he fulfilled the cute demand with his head bowed.

At the back of his mind, flashed Yael's dark, possessive stare, reserved for DJ, that Leo had witnessed many times, and he retreated back to his wounded heart, losing all the courage to fight against the lord for a boy like DJ.

Nevertheless, the time they spent together found a permanent home in Leo's memories, he smiled amusedly as he parked his car in the driveway and tossed the key to the guard playfully. Humming a melody under his breath, Leo walked inside the Doukas mansion with intentions to slump on his bed and sleep his worries away for the night. He crossed the main hall and started to climb the stairs, but then he stopped when a mixture of rich laughter poured out of the living room and reached his senses like a shock. A very familiar voice, old yet high-pitched, said something in a certain tone, followed by another fit of laughter, and Leo couldn't help but direct his way towards the living room.

To his perfect suspicion, he found Nova and Ezekiel laughing along with an utter displeasure on his eyes....Cillian Mort.

Leo stood there in silence, processing the audacity of the man, while he watched the trio clinking glasses of wine. He waited by the dividing wall, contemplating meeting Cillian or not, before he decided against the idea and turned to leave.

But till then, Ezekiel and Cillian both had noticed him.

"Leo!!" Cillian's voice rang through the room and Leo clenched his jaw tightly.

"What a pleasant surprise" the older stood up excitedly and marched to greet the younger by the entrance. "We were just talking about you brothers", he hugged Leo to his chest and squeezed his large body like they were buddies for life while Leo wondered what kind of talk they were having about them for he had only heard laughter. He neither returned the hug nor did he greeted Cillian back but he shared a look with Nova, eyes narrow, complaining, while Nova smiled in return.

"It's always a pleasure seeing young people like you and Yael working hard..." Cillian started as he pulled back "Such abilities are only what takes you beyond success don't they?" he praised, patting Leo's back roughly and making him pull away reluctantly. Ezekiel and Nova watched Leo carefully but neither of them interrupted and Cillian took it as a chance to continue.
