The encounter DJ had with lord Leo was still fresh in his mind creating a havoc of untamed thoughts and several outcomes that might follow. Once the reality of the situation finally dawned upon DJ, it was hard not to ponder over the investigating tone of the older and the inquiring question he had darted in DJ's way that the detective was too stunned to answer for. DJ wasn't defensively aware of how Leo was trying to pry something out of the boy, a slip or a mismanaged answer that could expose him and his 'evil' intentions against the empire of Pyro. Fortunately, luck was on DJ's side, the younger was deeply absorbed in the thoughts of Yael and the predicament he had found himself that Leo got nothing in response to his effort.

The lord had to leave without much success.

Another reason of that building depression for DJ was Lord Yael who had occupied majority of DJ's thoughts and made it difficult for him to focus on his routine chores. The man was unpredictable and easily angered when provoked and DJ didn't want to imagine his demise in the hands of Lord Yael. The boy knew he had fucked up big time after blowing the supposedly hidden secret between him and Yael since his embarrassing capture in the cameras, and all he had for his vindication were his pure intentions.

And nothing else.

Leaning against the small counter in his kitchen, DJ couldn't help but get distracted every other second making it hard for a simple task such as cooking dinner a hassle. Even the suspicious aroma wafting in the air couldn't bring back his attention as he stirred in the pot on the island, containing stew, mindlessly and unintentionally ignored the pan sizzling meat and veggies on the single stove.

It was until the sudden banging knocks at the only entrance broke him out of his trance with a gasp, he lost the metal spoon on the ground with loud clank and staggered back a few steps while watching the door getting pounded fiercely.

The knocks came brutally harsh and DJ felt his soul trembling inside his fragile frame, he clutched his heart and breathed in and out for a stable supply of oxygen before his throat gets clogged and DJ loses his consciousness.

There was no doubt about who was outside the door at the usual late hour, the obnoxious pounding emanated vibes of an enraged lord and DJ guessed it even without knowing. Frozen in his place, DJ contemplated whether he wanted to face Yael right now or not and quickly decided against a 'no'. It was better to own his mistake and take responsibility rather than make it worse by ghosting the older and not facing anything.

And so DJ made up his mind.

Slowly, he made his way to the entrance and grabbed the handle shakily. Breathing in, he twisted the knob to undo the lock and open the door, but before he could do that .......the door banged open roughly from outside and in barged Lord Yael in a beat. The detective yelped as Yael pushed his way in and crossed the room in two long strides, pushing DJ backwards hastily, until the younger was pinned to the wall behind and his face was as white as a freaking ghost.....drained of any colour.

Yael had a frown on his handsome face similar to Ezekiel when the former lord would be mad, large body towering over the cowardly boy, ticking sharp jaw and dark, deep glaring eyes that could reap a soul out of a human body just with a meaningful stare.

DJ was in awe and scared altogether.

"Care to explain why you decided to go against my command?" Yael questioned with gritted teeth, voice a mix of menace and warning dripping from his tongue while he glared at DJ dauntingly. DJ felt the blow of hot breath over his cold face and blinked involuntarily, he breathed in the merge of cigarette and expensive perfume and tried to pull back his focus to the pair of dark eye staring at him.
