Orson Wellman couldn't take it anymore, especially not after what was adding to the revelation of the unsaid status of Eugene Hale. As if those people with modern weapons weren't enough to surpass his jumbled brain, several high-end cars also filed inside the premises along with another flurry of men lined up in a manner a royal carriage would assemble for a king.

By the time the sun was up and warming Malia under its merciless heat waves, a whole lot of people had gathered outside the lodge, curious and questioning.

Continuous talks about 'sire being back' and 'relief of the empire' triggered something in Orson, the well-organized man felt itched in his nerves and couldn't help but wonder many queries like others around him. It was when some of his own crew members tried to inquire about Eugene and Japheth that Orson reached the peak of his calmness and shuddered with annoyance as he made his way to the only person he could think of.

The overwhelming questions had become his last straw.

With Japheth going unconscious, who was the only sane one to relieve Orson out of his curiosity, the mysterious man with Yael earlier was the only one left. He was huge in size, just like Yael and tough with a gentle frown adorning his features, a gun tucked in his belt showcased the proof of his cruelness and his stoic gaze seemed daunting.

However, Orson didn't let himself be bothered by those traits as much, he approached the man outside the lodge with a mouth full of questions and eyes seeking clarification.

Thankfully, the said man was approachable and ready to answer the chief without any problem.

The man introduced himself as Seva, a loyal servant of Doukas for generations. Being a major part of his life as a right-hand man to Ezekiel Doukas had its perks, but at the same time it was a huge responsibility as well, hence his presence by the heir of Doukas and carrying the order of his lord.

Seva explained most of Orson's curiosity. he briefly explained about the status and true identity of Eugene Hale as Yael Doukas and charted out some basic information regarding his abduction and rescue. Orson was tongue-tied by the time Seva was done with his story, and a chill of realization ran through his spine as soon as he joined the remaining dots and completed the picture in his mind.

There was no doubt about not knowing someone with the name Doukas behind, they were powerful and renowned for their specific unrivalled empire that had an imposing impact over other mafias and were set in some traditional ways no other would have liked to follow.

And that included operations of business and killings.

Orson Wellman was amazed and had more questions when the story, nearly fictional, finished. He was even proud to home a man he thought was a traitor a while ago and cherished the time he was helpful to encourage a friendship with the Lord of Pyro, a status that sounded sweet and prideful on his tongue.

On the other hand, Lilliana was surprised to find that Japheth wasn't a girl but a boy. She smiled widely, despite her husband's taking the information differently, and clapped her hands together after learning about the boy behind the veil. She favoured his career as a detective and upon all his heroic acts of saving Yael out of Chevy's stubborn claws by saying his praises in her mind.

That bloody man was a nightmare anyway, so it was impressive if anything.

Lilliana's fondness for the detective only increased with every minute, a look of his mesmerizing features had her heart in her fists and her jaw clenched at how beautiful a human can be. DJ was unconscious when he was seen as he was transferred to the room but even then, his captivating, alluring features had both Orson and his wife awestruck.
