Percy
Annabeth and I sat in the waiting room for what seemed like hours. I hated sitting here not being able to do anything. Instead, I sat here with Annabeth whp was practically shaking she was so scared but I couldn't blame her. I wanted to cry just sitting here.
Will appeared around the corner, both Annabeth and I stood up. "How is he?" I asked putting my arm around Annabeth just incase of the worst. "He's fine, he is in recovery right now if you want to see him" Will said with a smile.
Annabeth laughed with joy, jumping into my arms. I held her tightly. "Thank gods" I breathed, kissing the top of her head. We both practically ran to his room, skipping with joy. When Will opened the door, we both ran inside to Charlie's side.
Charlie was laying in bed with a large band aid over the bridge of his nose. "Hey baby!" whispered Annabeth, going to his side taking his hand. Charlie smiled, still woozy. "Hi buddy" I said sitting on his other side.
"Do you have my toys?" asked Charlie looking up at me in a small voice. I laughed, tears in my eyes. "Of course, they are at home waiting for you" I said softly, pulling his hair out of his face. "Make sure Zoe doesn't take them" Charlie whispered. Annabeth and I booth laughed. Charlie's face relaxed and he began to look more sleepy.
Will stepped in and I lookedup at him. "W-whats happening? Is he alright?" I asked sounding very panicy. Will smiled, "He's just tired, he's a little boy that just went through major surgery, he needs rest. He's going to have to stay the night just for observation, I suspect he'll be good to go home tomorrow".
I nodded, looking back down at our son. I held his little hand, he was already 4 and a half, next summer he'll be going to camp half blood to train. It all flew by so fast.
"Annabeth" I said softly. "You should go get Zoe and head home, you also need your rest" I said looking up at her. She started to protest but I stopped her "I'll stay with him tonight, he is in good hands besides, you are sleeping for two right now" I reached over Charlie and took Annabeth's hand.
"Come by first thing in the morning okay? I'll call if anything happens" I promised. Annabeth nodded before kissing Charlie's head and coming over to sit next to me. "Watch him all night, if he wakes up, call me okay?" Annabeth said putting her arm on my shoulder. "Yes mam' of course" I said with a smile. Annabeth kissed my head then stood up.
"I love you" she whispered. "I love you too" I said, watching her walk out the door.

It took everything I had to not run right back through those doors and be with my son but Percy was right. Zoe and Charlie both had rough pregnancies, I wanted this one to go without any issues. Besides, it was my lack of sleep that got us here in the first place.
When I got to Sally's, she let me in and I sat down. Zoe was asleep which wasn't surprising seeing it was late. "Tell me everything" Sally demanded, throwing down a plate of blue cookies.
I sighed, putting my head in my hands. "He just ran into a wall, I thought it was nothing but then it just wouldn't stop bleeding. I took him to the emergency room but it was too full" I began, tears began to fill my eyes and Sally sat next to me, holding my hand and giving me a cookie.
"I took him to camp, I just didn't see another option, Will found us and got us a room immediately but when I got there, he had already lost so much blood. Will ordered me to leave so thats when I ran to find Percy" I cried biting my lip. Sally nodded, rubbing circles on my back just as Percy does to calm me down.
"It's okay, it over now" she whispered, squeezing my hand. I nodded, going on with my story. "When we got back, Will was taking him into surgery. He said something about brain damage and thats when Percy and I just lost it. The surgery took hours but when it was done, Will said everything was fine and that we could go see him. He needs to stay tonight for observation" I said taking a bite from the cookie, letting Sally's cooking save me.
"I can watch Zoe tonight if you'd like" Sally said softly. I shook my head, "No, I need to just be with my kids right now, its what got Charlie hurt in the first place" I said. I looked up at her, "Am I a bad mother?" I asked in a small voice.
Sally scoffed, "You are one of the best moms out there. When Percy was just two, he ran into a coffee table, needed 12 stitched on his forehead. When he was 4, ran through a damn window, the list goes on. Don't let what you kid does make you think you are a bad mother. It's what you do after the fact and you did everything right. When you saw that the emergency room was full, you went to camp, you saved your son".
I sighed, "Thanks" I said with a smile. Sally smiled. "Now, go get your girl and head on home. You need some rest".
When I got upstairs, Zoe was fast asleep in a blue onsie. I picked her up, careful not to disturb her and carried her to the car. I thanked Sally once more then drove home.
While I drove, I called Leo. I knew he'd be up with Thomas who still wasn't sleeping through the night. He was quite the hyperactive kid. "Leo, I need your help" I said softly so I wouldn't wake Zoe in the back seat.
"Of course, is Charlie doing okay?" he asked. "He's better, he got out of surgery a few hours ago. They said everything went fine" I said. "Thank gods" Leo said, I could tell even over the phone that he was smiling. "Anyway, would you mind throwing together a few toys. I promised Charlie some and I don't have any time to go pick up any so I figure you must have something laying around in the garage" I said trying not to sound too "beggy" or needy.
"Of course, I was going to bring some over tomorrow when we had our playdate with Baby Chris and your kids but I guess that playdates out the window" he said. I sighed, I had forgotten about that.
"No, no, uh, Charlie is supposed to be home tomorrow anyways. Can we just push it back till dinner time?" I asked. "Sure, yeah, I'll call Piper and let her know" Leo said. "Okay great, I'll see you tomorrow" I said, hanging up.
When we got home, I carried Zoe upstairs to my room. "Mommy?" Zoe said, waking up. "Oh no, sweetie, go back to bed. Please go back to bed" I plead, not wanting to deal with this right now. Zoe nodded sheepishly. I set her down in Percy's spot and I crawled in next to her. I checked the clock, 1:30. I'd only get 5 hours of sleep but thats almost double what I noramlly get.
I wrapped my arms around Zoe and fell fast asleep.
***It got real cute at the end didn't it? Hope you enjoyed this happy twist to a previously sad chapter. My Frazel book will be out sometime todayish. I don't have anything really left to say so I guess I love you demigods! -Izzy
