Annabeth

"Annabeth?" said a far away voice. I blinked, I must have dozed off. I looked around, I was sitting on a beach. The water was calm, the sky was blue, the sand was a perfect white slate.

"Earth to Wise Girl? You coming?" said the voice. I smiled, knowing exactly who it was. I bit my lip, blushing as I turned around. Percy stood there, his lower half in the water - naked. He must have noticed my bright red cheeks because Percy just smiled, sending a flick of water on me.

"Come on Wise Girl, I might drown without you" he said dramatically, putting his hand to his head faking a faint. I giggled like a school girl at the sight of my riduculous husband. "I think you'll live" I replied with a devilish grin before turning around, wrapping my shawl around my exposed body.

I could hear Percy gasp in disbelief. "Oh you tease!" he explained. Before I knew it, I could hear him come up behind me. As I turned around, he had his arms wrapped around my waist, hoisting me up over his shoulder.

"Percy!" I exclaimed, laughing uncontrollably. "Put me down Seaweed Brain!" I cried, hitting his back. "Or what!" he laughed, running towards the water. "Don't you dare!" I screamed. Just then, he flung his body into the ocean, holding tight onto me.

I took a deep breath before we were completely submerged. I swam to the surface where Percy was waiting for me. At some point, I had lost my shawl and we were together in the water completely alone.

He put his gentle hands on my waist, pulling me towards his body. Neither one of us said a word as we leaned into one another. I looked up at Percy, tracing his jaw line with my finger. Percy ran his hands up my waist, wrapping his arms around me. I traced down his chest to his forearm, taking his hand.

I stared at his forearm. His tattoo was gone. I grabbed his arm, pointing to the spot where it normally was. "Where is your tattoo?" I asked, confused. I looked up at him, his eyes were blue, not green. He didn't have his grey streak in his hair or the scar on his forehead. I backed away from him. This wasn't Percy.

"W-who are you?" I asked, letting go of him. The man looked confused, "What are you talking about? It's me" he said softly. "N-no, you're not Percy. Percy has green eyes, a tattoo from when he was kidnapped, a grey streak from when he lifted the sky, a scar from Kronos" I exclaimed, fear rising in my chest.

The man began to look confused. "What are you talking about? Annabeth, I was never kidnapped and I certainly don't have a tattoo. I didn't lift the sky. Who is Kronos?" he asked, stepping towards me. I shook my head, holding up my hand to stop him.

"No, stop there. This isn't real. I-I'm in a coma and you're about to go die on a mission. I'm in solitary confinement. This is a halucination. The Gods and the fates won't let us end up this way. This isn't how the story ends. We don't get a happy ending" I cried, putting my hands in my hair, trying to calm myself.

"Annabeth, are you feeling okay? What are you saying? What are you talking about Gods and fates? You're talking crazy" The man said, walking closer to me. I shook my head. "No, no, no, this can't be happening" I cried. He got closer and I punched him in the nose. The man's head knocked back as he fell into the water. I screamed as I ran out of the water, sprinting down the beach.

"Annabeth!" screamed a voice. I blinked, suddenly I was back in the white room. Athena stood over me. I was in a ball on the floor, I had scratch marks on my arms and legs. Some bleeding, I was scratching my skin raw. Breathing heavy, I looked up at her.

"W-what happened?" I asked. Athena sighed, kneeling down beside me. "You were hallucinating. None of it was real. I was afraid this would happen. I'm suprised you've lasted this long without loosing it" she said softly.
