Damon stared out into the ocean. His eyes were gray, foggy like the shorelines. There was no shine to his eyes now, she was too far away. He sighed as he waited pulling his coat closer to him to block out the wind. Only one person could keep him warm and she wasn't here.
He missed the way she would mold into his body like they were made for each other. The softness of her lips. He knew what she would see right now would definately scare her. There was no one near him except Connor.
He crouched down by Damon picking up a body.
"Come on, man. You always leave the dirty work to me."
"I'm the one who killed him," Damon grunted. "We need to talk about her. You know that's why were are here in the first place."
Connor swung the guy and threw him out to sea laughing as the body hit the water.
"You take human death too fondly," Damon said.
"You really don't see the fun do you?" Connor smirked.
Damon walked up to Connor and got in his face. "She isn't a game to me!"
"Easy there. You know the truce." Connor reminded him.
Of course, the new truce. People could go after Athena and Damon and Connor had to stop them until she was able to remember everything. Damon was about to say something when a shimmer in the sand caught his eye. He walked over to it and bend down picking it up. A shiny black arrow.
"So now they want her too!" Connor shouted walking up beside Damon.
"I guess so. We have to hide her at Swords," Damon said.
"Really? A school?" Connor deadpanned.
"Its filled with gifted kids. She'll be safe." Damon continued. "Let me take her tonight."
"Now, you know that's not part of the deal."
"I know."
Connor thought this over. Then smirked up at Damon.
"Fine. Give me the arrow and I'll let you."
Damon tossed him the arrow and got ready to fly.
"Wait, one more thing. If the guard and the forbidden are out to get her, this could be a little more hard to keep her safe."
"I know that. But Swords is the best place for now."
Connor nodded and flew off. Damon extended his wings and flew off into the horizon aching to see her again.
