Chapter 1: Rushed

Rushed. That's how I was feeling right now. Along with about one thousand other emotions; the most obvious was how happy I was. I hadn't believed that he was actually proposing, and when I finally believed it wasn't a dream, of course I'd said yes.

"Yoona, I can't believe we have been together for four years now. Can you?" Seung Hyun asked me, suddenly serious. His eyes were looking right into mine. I loved his eyes.

Coming back to the real world, I replied, "Of course, oppa. Four years that have made me very happy. The best years of my life!" I smiled back at him. He held my hand, and started to stand up. Confused, I started to stand as well, but he made me sit down again.

"Sit, Yoona. I have to do something." he told me, very mysteriously. I was about to question if everything was okay, when I noticed he'd started to kneel down in front of me. I just about lost all of my cool. I mean; we were in a coffee shop, with tons of people around. With paparazzi taking pictures of us. Was he really doing what I'd hoped for from the day I met him? I guess I'd found out soon enough.

In that melting voice of his, he whispered, "I love you, Yoona. I love you more than the stars in the sky, and I always will. Would you marry me?" He smiled as he waited for my answer. I think a tear fell from my eye, because he wiped it away, but it didn't distract me from the answer I'd always known was just for him.

"Yes. Of course," I whispered back, stunned that this was real. He wrapped his arms around me, and I could feel that his smile was huge. He slipped the ring on my finger, and it felt warm on my finger.

Happily, he said, "Thank you. I swear you'll always be happy in my presence."

"When have I ever been sad when you're around in the past?" I jokingly asked him, smiling. We both laughed, and then he stood up, going back to being serious.

"We should go, before anyone wonders if I really did that. Before anyone can take pictures. I don't want you to be in danger from all the fans who might freak out," he said, with that dorky grin of his glued on his face. We both stood up, his hand purposefully covering my ring finger, and we left. There were whispers everywhere we went. I was just another girl, not even an ounce of fame; except that I was dating Choi Seung Hyun of the best Korean boy band ever. If the country found out that we were now engaged, they'd be enraged. However, I didn't care, because I was just too happy then. I couldn't wait to tell my family, and my best friend, Jae Hwa.
