Chapter 16: So Young’s Plan

So Young walked into the dark, run-down building. It had been deserted for years; for the people who knew what was good for them, that is. It was just a tall, concrete building that used to contain offices. This is where So Young’s brother took care of buisiness. Baek Jung Su. That was his name. What does he do for a living? He was a gang leader, and not just any. The most famous gang leader in Seoul. No one who went into his hands ever came out alive.

“Jung Su oppa? Are you here? It’s So Young,” she called out. She was soon greeted by Jung, her brothers right hand man.

“So Young, don’t just visit, do you have a reason to speak with him? He’s very busy with his work you know,” Jung told her, blocking her way.

“I have a job for him, it’s personal. Let me by, Jung,” So Young replied. He moved out of her way, nodding. So Young proceeded up the stairs to where her brother would be.

“So Young, what do you need? I’m very busy,” Jung Su said, barely noticing his sister.

Briskly, she replied, “I have a job for you, it’s very important. She took something very precious from me...”

“I can’t take care of every single person who takes the man you want, So Young,” her brother replied, annoyed.

Angrily, So Young said, “She’s not even well-known, she won’t be missed! And did I mention, she hit me, drawing blood?”

“Well, that changes things alot. Does she even know you have a brother like me?” he asked her, looking up from his papers.

“She doesn’t know I have a brother, let alone a brother like you,” she said, smirking.

“I suppose I could do you a favour, just this once, right? I’ll let her know it was your idea,” he replied.

Timidly, So Young said, “Alright. But make her suffer alot, alright?” Jung Su nodded his head, and So Young walked away from the building, to meet Ji Yong.

“So Young, why do you seem so happy? Is something good happening?” he asked her, a little uneasy.

“My brother is doing something very nice for me,” she told him, smiling.

Frustrated, Ji Yong asked, “What would that be?”

“It’s a secret,” she told him, hiding the truth. If she let anyone know, she’d lose her chance with Seung Hyun. That couldn’t happen. It wouldn’t happen.
