Chapter 15: Rain in Our Hearts

Turning, I asked Seung Hyun, “Sometimes, it feels like the inside of my heart is raining. Do you ever get that feeling? I feel it whenever we are apart.”

‘Where did that come from’ is probably what he thought after I say things like that.

“Awwe, Yoona. Of course I get that feeling, because I love you,” he replied, to my shock.

“Hey, for the next little while, don’t go anywhere, okay? I’m scared,” I told him. The night before, I told him that my nightmares were back. I also told him what the dream was about. He’d been really surprised I was dreaming something like that.

“Yoona, I’m sure it’s just dream, don’t worry about it. I’ll always be here when you want me,” he said. That made me feel alot better, and I smiled.

With a plan, I said, “Let’s take Mi Sun on a walk, oppa.”

We went to my favorite park. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and it was perfect for going on walks. I was glad we came. There were people everywhere out walking their dogs, playing games and talking to friends. I took Seung Hyun’s hand in mine, smiling.

“Isn’t it a beautiful place?” I asked him, my voice full of awe.

He replied, “Yeah, it really is.” We continued to walk in that park for so long, until I got hungry.

“Oppa, I’m hungry, can we eat now?” I requested, looking up at him. He pulled me in, hugging me. I hadn’t expected that.

“Whatever you want, Yoona. You’re safe with me, don’t be scared,” he mumbled to me.

‘Well, that was random,” I thought to myself, smiling. We headed towards the road, away from the park. We went to a noodle shop, and it smelled so good. Of course, I got kimchi noodles, my very favorite. I don’t know why I loved spicy food, but it was just so good. It was almost better than the smell of rain.

The noodles were hot, and they were delicious. They filled me up, and I was no longer hungry. When we got home, we watched a movie, and I fell into a dark, dreamless sleep.
