clarice anderson.

Street lights were blinking all the way home. It's been two hours that I've been driving and we decided to stop by the nearest store to buy something to munch on.

"Been an exhausting day seeing your face, Luke."

"Shut up. I'm handsome."

"You just have a lipring. You're not yet tough enough."

"Oh. Really? What if I do this?"

I squeaked like a teenage girl and he carried me bridal style while jumping up and down, shouting profanities and swear words to make him look like a tough guy. He really is tough. I just don't want him to assume so much.

"Am I tough enough?" He said, catching our breaths and I was still laughing at what have just happened. It was fun being with Luke, though I admit. He may be sometimes a bit awkward, but when you finally meet him? You'll see a blooming flower blossoming in the sun.

I smirked. "Yeah, Lucas. You're tough and give warnings when you do such things that would give me a damn heart attack." He cracked up and raised a middle finger at me. I rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out at him.

We went back to the car and decided to blast out our favorite songs before we drive back home again. The sky was dark with the stars making it bright and it never seemed so dull to me. It was a perfect sight for imperfect persons who wants to be satisfied with their lives.

I stared at the sky and closed my eyes. The feeling of the cold air was embracing me. This was a better day than I least expected. But, in the other side of my brain is a worrying Clarice. I'm worried about my boyfriend Calum Hood who didn't bother leaving a small message or even a goddamn call.

Suddenly, a question popped up in my mind. "Luke? Can I ask you something?" I spatted out. I opened my eyes and Luke was staring into me like I'm his prey.

He took a shot of the sky right into my direction and I can see him smiling while typing something in his phone. I think he's using his Instagram and afterwards, he locked his phone. "Yeah? What's that?"

I breathed and hoped that he won't get too offended with what I'll ask. "About Angel a while ago? What did you two talked about? I mean, I don't want to barge into your past relationship. I just wanted to know. It's okay if you don't wanna talk about it."

A few moments of silence was heared. Luke snorted and let out a laugh. "Seriously, Clarice? You said so many things and look, I won't get offended. You're like a sister to me and I'm sure I can trust you."

Well, I'm just a sister to him? Great.

Wait? Did I just became annoyed? Oops, but I didn't meant to be that way. I'm sorry.

"First," Luke started. "She said sorry for breaking up with me. It was because her mother found out. She was grounded for having a boyfriend ever since she was 15. It was two years that she kept our relationship, and if you'll ask me? She was really a keeper. I loved her then. If she just told me that happened? Maybe, we'll still be together until now." He sighed and took a deep breath.

"That was really a tragic moment for the both of you." I commented. "I'm sorry for asking, though. Are you okay?" I assured him.

Luke again laughed at me for the nth time today. He likes laughing. "Hell yeah, I'm okay! It's just a heartbreak. I can surpass that."

I stared at him in awe. "I adore your strength, Luke. Even after a heartbreak you still managed to be strong and happy. Teach me your freaking ways!"

I laughed and Luke just glared at me. "Don't do that. I know you had a heartbreak and you can also surpass that. Jesus, I know it was years since your heartbreak! You're a strong girl, I can see that."
