CHAPTER 3: An unexpected meeting.

LEO'S POV:
I was really shocked, when I saw Annabeth with Henry. I really hated that guy. His presence, sort of, well, made me uneasy at times.

I at first couldn't believe it. Percy and Annabeth had been together, for, like, 5 years now. If I won't have seen it myself, I would never have believed it.

There she was, kissing Henry, near zeus's fist. I could feel Percy's despair. I knew how it hurt.

When Percy left, I immediately knew he was planning to run away from the camp.

So, at night, I was outside his camp. When he left, and almost crossed the border, I confronted him.

I tried to stop him, but in vain. I however convinced him to take me with him.

How could I leave his side at such a time? After Jason left, he was my best friend.

He was like a brother to me. I had to go with him.

So now we are ready to leave. I have packed and am walking towards him. There he is...

PERCY'S POV:
We cross the border and leave the camp. It was now about 2:30 at night. I turned to look at the camp one last time......

"So where do we go now? We like, have nowhere to go" Leo smirked. Leo had been like a brother to me.

I was however, upset that I couldn't say vie to Nico one last time.

"I dunno" was all I managed.

Then suddenly, when we were only about a mile from the camp, there was a flash of light ahead.

We ran towards the source, and, holy hades, surprising us, stood, Zeus and hades. Hades gave a smile. Over the years, I had grown to like him. Zeus merely gave us a nod.

It was hades who spoke first. "You took long..."We're you guys waiting for US here" I asked.

"Yes, Percy We actually wanted some help, and foresaw you would come here." Zeus replied.

"Wanted our help? You could have simply summoned us, then why did you show here?" Leo inquired.

"Well, it is something ehh...well .... Secret, which we can't let all gods know" it was hades who spoke.

"Hmm...go on" I grew suspicious. It was not often that the Lord of universe and underworld needed help in petty issues. It had to be something big.

"It's Nyx, Percy" Zeus blurted. The word sent a chill down my spine. She was one of the most powerful entities of the dark...daughter of chaos and sister of Gaia.

"What about her, Lord Zeus?" I questioned.

"Percy she has stirred. She is immensely powerful. She is taking control over the underworld, and gradually plans to take over the world..." Zeus looked worried.

"So how could we help?" Leo asked, looking directly at Zeus.

"We want you two to be the commanders of our underworld force, and lead the forces against Nyx" Zeus said.

"No one however, wether God, or mortal, must know this. Also, you two just left the camp, and have nowhere to go. Could you two please help?" Hades pleaded.

Nyx, was extremely powerful...the darkness itself...stronger than even Gaia herself.

Hades had a point. We must help, or the world might be destroyed,consumed in darkness.

I looked at Leo, who, although, looked pale, nodded.

I nodded towards Zeus and hades. "Anything else we need to know?"

"She has also somehow managed to awake Gaia again, and the Titans" Zeus added, to make matters worse.

"So is it a yes?"hades asked.

"Yes.." A whisper was all I could manage.

AUTHORS NOTE:
Hope you liked it. In the next chapter, our heroes would command the underworld forces. The would also be joined by some unexpected friends.
