CHAPTER 10: Another Attack

LEO'S POV:
"Are you guys ready?" I asked Percy and Henry.

The both stood on my sides, dressed in full battle armours.

I grinned, though not visibly because of my helm, as I asked the question. All the campers were gathered around them in a circle, to watch them fight.

How could Henry even think of beating PERCY in a duel, I didn't know. But who knew what a son of Nyx could be capable of....

He had already showed his skills in sword fights. The one who lost would have to leave the camp.

I dropped the cloth, signalling that the fight had begin.

As soon as the flag touched the ground, they both leapt on each other.

I had full faith in Percy. Underworld had multiplied his powers several times over.

Henry was the first to attack. He was quick and accurate, and aimed for Percy's shoulder.

Percy, however was faster, and thrust his sword in a defensive arc, blocking the attack.

Percy was the one to charge this time. He straight aimed for his head, but Henry blocked it just in time, the sword missing him by a hair's breadth.

The fight went for another 15 minutes or so. I have to admit, Henry was pretty good.

Both of them were sweating by now. Everyone had gone quiet, and only the clash of swords could be heard.

Finally, Percy managed to deliver a cut on Henry's right arm.

Henry bellowed in rage. He , angered, ran at Percy, his sword raised in air.

A mistake. Percy might had been waiting for this opportunity from the beginning. He simple stepped away, then hit Henry on the helm.

Henry tipped over. Percy grabbed the oppturtunity again, and charged.

Henry, too baffled to move, again was hit, and lay there unconcious.

Percy had won. He had defeated Henry. The crowd cheered.

Everyone was praising Percy. They lifted him on the shoulders.....

PERCY'S POV:
There he lay, unconcious. I had always wanted revenge. Revenge from this particular person.

I had promised Leo, I won't going to hit him hard.  I hadn't.

However, although Henry hadn't been that difficult to defeat, he had proved to be a worthy opponent.

Everyone lifted  me on their shoulders. There were cheers everywhere.

Suddenly, I saw, out of the corner of my eye, Henry had gained consciousness, and was getting up.

His face looked a mixture of shame and hatred. There was also some disbelief in his eyes.

Soon everyone else noticed him too.

"Ask him to leave the camp" one said. " he must leave" shouted another.

Just as I was about to speak, I glanced at annabeth. She was gesturing me something. She mouthed some words.

I got the message loud and clear.

No matter how much I wanted,I couldn't let Henry out. He was dangerous.

He might end up causin great harm to CHB. If he was here, he could well be watched.

"No one leaves the camp. Henry stays here" I shouted. Everyone became silent.

Everyone was surprised. Even Henry looked stunned.

Without another word, I turned to leave. I did not even bother to turn.

However, I had only walked a few steps, when I felt a sudden rumbling of ground.

Then came a deep bellow. Certainly monsters, and more this time.

It was also, by judging the rumbling, clear, that they had some strong friend this time.

This couldn't be true! Not this early!

They had brought with them, Gaia. Every single face suddenly looked pale and colourless.
