CHAPTER 13: mom!

PERCY'S POV:
Mom opened the door. When she saw me, her face was an expression of surprise.

"Percy?.." She said. "Hey mom.. " I managed a smile.

She hugged me. " you had been away for an year, we thought you were...." She didn't finish.

A tear dropped down from her eyes. "At least you could have given some information , Percy" she said sadly.

It was then she looked at annabeth.

"Hi, annabeth" mom said, and gave her a hug "Hey...you two know each other?" I was baffled.

"Annabeth had been visiting every single week after you...disappeared." Mom said.

I looked at annabeth and smiled. She blushed. She had spent a lot of her time finding me.

"Who's there, Sally?" Paul said as he appeared behind her.

A surprised Paul led us in.

"Percy...how?" He asked mom. So I had to explain them both.

We stayed at my mom's for about an hour. Then we said the pleasantries and left.

We mounted the blackjack. Only once we stopped on the way, to buy donuts for him.

We reached the camp at about 7. The sun was setting.

With a surprise, I realised that the Olympians, too had come to the camp...all of them...it must be something important. .,,,

LEO'S POV:

"How will we leave Leo?" Cal asked.

I took out a miniature boat from my pocket, and threw it in front of us.

"We'll leave in this, sunshine"I replied.

Calypso rolled her eyes. "Was this what you did in 2 years?

I pouted. "Hey girl, just a minute." I then took Archimedes square from my pocket and pressed some buttons.

The little boat started vibrating. If it worked, we just might be able to leave the island.

At first, nothing more happened. Just when I had given up hope, the boat gave a shudder, and started growing.

Minutes later, it was a fully grown ship....my ship, the Argo 2.

Yep....this was something I had been working for, for 2 years. It had finally worked.

"Phew.." Cal gave a low whistle. She stared at it in amazement.

"C'mon..lets go.." I said. She hesitated. "What happened?" I Asked.

She shook her head. "I can't leave Leo...the curse won't be broken like this....I can't leave the island".

I smiled. "Have you ever tried?" I asked. She again shook her head.

"Then we might just have a chance." I took her hand and we ran towards the Argo 2.

Soon we were on board and the ship was sailing through air. Now we'd have to face the real challenge.

I walked to festus and took out the compass I had earlier acquired from Ogygia. I gave some commands.

Then I walked back and waited. I half expected us to again land in Ogygia.

A few minutes later, calypso nudged me, and smiling, took my hand.

"You made it, Leo." She said. Yup....we had made it.

A few hours later, Long Island came into view. My heart soared with happiness. I was sure, Percy would have given away our identities.

So, instead, I gave my armour and hood to calypso.

However, I got a shock. On the island, all Olympians had gathered. All of them...

Anger gushed through my veins. They were the ones who had kept cal imprisoned on Ogygia.

The gods deserved a piece of my mind....
