myungsoo's deal was very simple. i had to break up with seojun, and it didn't matter how i did it. telling anyone else about myungsoo's doings, would only make everything worse.
he promised to quietly deal with soojin, and revert everything back to normal. that no one would be talking about jugyeong nor i, and everyone would somehow believe the video was fabricated.
i don't buy it. how could he possibly fix everything?
but with seojun's future on the line, i knew i couldn't jeopardize his only chance of success.
myungsoo promised that i'd get into the university of my choice, no matter where it was in the world. i had no idea the kinds of connections myungsoo and his parents had access to.
"you have to do it by the end of this weekend." his words repeated itself in my head, as i trudged back to suho's apartment.
upon seeing my appearance at the door, seojun pulled me into the apartment by the shoulders, and embraced me. it felt as if he could not pull me any closer, with how tightly he held me with one hand on my lower back, and the other rested behind my head.
"i was scared something happened to you. you were gone for two hours and didn't text us anything," suho glances over to me as he shuts the front door behind us. i am the first to retract my hands as i take a few steps back.
i scan the living room and notice that chorong, along with his laptop, is nowhere to be seen. at least that's one less person that's here now. i really don't know how to break the news without potentially upsetting myungsoo. he is somehow able to find out anything.
the two guys notice the uneasiness in my expression before exchanging looks with each other. my boyfriend is the first to call my name, and my gaze wanders back to him.
"what happened?" he asks, his voice patient.
"we have to break up."
it brings me no joy at all to say that, especially when these past weeks, i've had fleeting thoughts of staying with seojun forever, and even marrying him. his eyes glisten a hint of sadness, but confusion is the main emotion.
"myungsoo, he's not what you think he is. he's been stalking me for the last years and developed such an insane obsession over me that he's stolen all of the confession letters i've gotten at saebom, rigged my stargram likes and i think he rigged the saebom festival show for me as well. he sent a box of photographs of me that were accumulated throughout the years, and i didn't even know that happened."
seojun has a wave of shock overcome him before that expressions morphs into irritation. his teeth are clenched, but he looks around the room as he takes a breath in and then out.
"i always thought something was off about him," suho is startled as his focus jumps between the angry male next to me, and my distressed self. "he has a lot of power for someone who's just a student. after i joined the student council, i went through the old files and found out we weren't even supposed to having that camping trip this year. we were way over budget and the ice rink fundraiser didn't help much. it was myungsoo's dad who wrote a check for our school," suho recalls.
"now, could my dad have cut a check too? yes, but that still wouldn't warrant a lot of the special privileges that this guy has," suho's eyes trail over to his apartment's curtains and he hurries to close them.
"so he wants you to dump me, and go to him? is that it?" seojun raises an eyebrow in irritation. i nod, but i scramble to reassure him. i don't want him to do anything impulsive and possibly anger myungsoo.
