A/N this chapter is dedicated to......... BlueDanceLover !
It was the time. I had my phone, which was basically all the personal items I had. I looked up at Brian and looked over at Kayla and Henry. They had all their stuff together and we were all ready to go. "Are we ready to head out?" I asked.
"Yep," Henry said.
"I was ready to leave four months ago!" Kayla complained, "Can we at least agree I will be the first one to go outside?"
"Okay," I smiled, "You are allowed to lead out the door, then Brian will lead us back home, right Brian?"
"Right," he said, sort of hesitantly, "I just don't feel.....right. I feel like something bad is going to happen."
"Brian, nothing bad is going to happen. We're going to go home and be perfectly fine. No murders, no lost limbs, no broken bones. We'll be okay!" I exclaimed.
"Okay," he finally agreed. I kissed him on the cheek for assurance.
"Perfect!" Kayla exclaimed, "Well, can we get out of this bird cage, or are we just going to sit here and kiss. Because we can do that, out side of this tin can."
"Let's go outside," Henry said. All four of us walked over to the door and Kayla walked in front. She slowly turned the door knob, then kept it fully turned for a second before pushing it open. A waft of ocean air flooded in along with beautiful sunlight. Kayla stepped onto the sand and looked like she was going to scream with excitement.
"We're outside!" She squealed, dancing around the sand. She hopped up and down, raising her hand towards the sun. "Oh, beautiful sun! How I've missed you!"
I laughed and smiled, "Kayla, you are so ridiculous, it's just the-" I was cut off by Brian's eyes widening, along with Henry's, it also stopped Kayla. "What is it?" I asked.
"Run," was all Brian could manage, and with that, I sprinted towards the trees. Henry, Kayla, and Brian trailed close behind. Once I got to the trees, Brian passed me up and I followed him in between the trees. I dodged branches and roots as I sprinted along. I glanced behind me and realized one of my worst nightmares come true. Somebody was chasing us. Luckily, it wasn't a psychotic Brian, but it wasn't a man with ice cream. It was a tall, thin man, and he was holding a knife. So, yeah, not exactly pleasant.
And, of course, as all of my dreams ensue, I tripped on a root. I face planted into the ground. I heard Brian call out my name and I heard him run to me to try and help me up, but I pushed him away. "Run," I said, looking into his eyes.
"But you might die," he said, tearing up.
"I'll be fine," I said, trying to force a smile. I wiped the tears off of his cheeks and kissed him. "Run. Do it for me." He nodded and ran off, and I was faced with the kidnapper.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here," he smirked as he looked at my teary eyes.
"Just kill me now," I whimpered, "Or let me go."
"Can do," he said. He stabbed the knife in my shoulder, and then in my stomach, making me scream, until the world went black, and the last words I heard was Brian's voice. "But you'll die."
I did die.
A/N this isn't the end! And actually I almost died of crying while writing this chapter, but I held back the tears, so my family didn't look at me any weirder than they actually do. Anyway, there will be one more chapter! So don't be sad, well you can be sad, but one more chapter! It should be out tomorrow, hopefully!-Piper
