It was Poppy's fault, at least that's who they're blaming for their current predicament.
Poppy had told them there was a bunch of their old stuff in the original village before they were taken by the Bergens.
So naturally the brothers wanted to go see what things they could find in their grandma's old pod.
But they got a bit turned around and ended up in something called the Hall of memories. They all figured it would just be a hall full of memories from troll history or at least the fake history of pop village.
Instead there were relics lining the halls, some had been stolen or destroyed. One thing that appeared to still be intact was draped with a heavy curtain.
"Well now I'm curious." Clay said, taking a step towards the curtain.
"Don't you know that's how people die in horror movies?" Floyd said, cocking his hip.
"Relax, this is real life not a horror movie. Now shut up or I'll play IT when we get home." Clay teased, stepping over the velvet rope that blocked the object under the curtain.
Floyd huffed as they all watched Clay pull the curtain off before coughing as clouds of dust swirled around them for a few.
"It's a......mirror?" Bruce said, looking at his reflection in the mirror.
Clay frowned as looked at their reflections as well, disappointed with the simple item.
"Ugh, that sucks. You'd figure it'd be something cool if they had to cover it up and hide it." Clay pouted.
"Look there's writing along the frame!" John pointed out.
"Whatever you do, don't read it aloud! That's always how you awaken the ancient evil in horror movies." Floyd whispered, hiding behind JD and Bruce slightly.
"How many horror movies have you watched recently?" John Dory asked, looking over his shoulder at the second youngest.
"Hehe, um....a lot." Floyd said sheepishly.
"I think you need to be cut off for a while, it's making you paranoid." John teased, turning back to try to read the writing along the frame in the dim lit.
"Hey I only slept in your bed once!" Floyd shouted, his voice echoing throughout the hall.
"And you told me not to tell anyone and you just told them yourself." John snickered.
Floyd groaned and rolled his eyes, embarrassed and wanting to be out of the creepy hall.
Softly he heard each of his brothers trying to read the writing along the frame of the mirror, Floyd kept telling them to be quiet and to leave.
"Shush, it's Latin. I know a little Latin." Clay shouted, trying to wave Floyd off.
Floyd grumbled as they all got bored, all of them walking away besides Branch who stood and slowly sounded the words out.
As he continued to talk, the mirror started glowing.
The other bros quickly tried to stop Branch but it was too late, the light filled the hall, blinding them slightly.
When the light cleared they saw five small figures laying on the floor.
The largest of the figures sat up slowly, protectively wrapping their arms around the closest of the smaller ones.
"W-who are you?!" He said, clearly trying to sound brave as the second largest figure covered the other two smaller ones.
As their eyes slowly adjusted back to the darkness they realized they were looking at younger versions of themselves.
