John Dory meets the OTHER parents

As soon as they got home, Cecil started planning their next visit to Tango Grove. Meanwhile John's brothers asked him how it went (mainly Bruce and Floyd).

"It went good. I think they like me. Their mom kept feeding me while the dad glared down at me. But that's normal parent behavior. Cecil might ask you guys for baby pictures of me because their mom showed me theirs and apparently 'it's not fair' that I've seen theirs but they haven't seen mine." John teases.

Bruce snickered but covered it with pretending to clear his throat, making a mental note to show Cecil the few pictures he had of him and JD when they were little. They weren't baby pictures but they were pretty close.

"That's good John, I'm glad it went well. I would have loved to see Shiv's baby picture but he's got those under lock and key." Floyd teases softly.

"I'd have to agree with Shiv there because mine are the same way." John Dory jokes, laughing softly.

"Yours are what?" Branch asks as he walks into the room.

"My baby pictures are under lock and key. Cecil has been begging me to see them since I saw theirs when we went to visit their parents." JD answers.

"Oh. I'm so glad I already knew Peppy before Poppy and I started dating, I don't think I'd like to see what he looks like in protective dad mode." Branch jokes as he pours himself a cup of coffee.

The brothers laugh softly, the mood feeling light and playful.

It's a couple more weeks before Cecil tells John when they're going to go back to Tango Grove, them holding their axe to the teal haired troll's chin as Cecil told John Dory that they will be seeing his baby pictures after this visit or else (they're not going to kill him dw lol).

The drive up to Tango Grove was similar to the last time, JD was still nervous but not as nervous as he previously was. He was more prepared this time.

The couple parked Rhonda in the same place they parked her the last time as they went back to meet up with Cecil's friends once again to kill time before dinner that evening.

The group went shopping, saw a movie, had lunch and just hung out in the park, apparently something they did a lot when they were younger.

Before they knew it, it was time for John Dory and Cecil to meet up with the parents for dinner.

They popped into Rhonda to change into something a little more formal.

John opted out for the tie this time and wore jeans instead of slacks but still the button up and blazer.

Cecil donned a pink and white pantsuit, minimal makeup, and left their hair down aside from a few small braids in their hair.

Before they left Rhonda, JD grabbed a covered cake pan out of the fridge.

"What's that mi querido amor?" Cecil asked John Dory as locked the door to Rhonda before they walked over to their parents house.

"Just a little something. It was a bit rude of me to show up empty handed the last time." JD said as he quickly rang the doorbell.

Cecil gave John a bewildered look but understood. He hadn't told them that he was making anything to take so Cecil hoped he had made something that their parents would like.

A different man answered the door this time but behind him the couple could see Horatio walking up. The new man had light pink skin and dark forest green hair, his violet eyes looking down towards John Dory.

"¿Es este el gamberro?" the man asked, turning towards Horatio.

Horatio snorted softly and nodded before nodding his head towards Cecil.
